VILLANOVA, Pa. – Golf travels to Massachusetts this week to compete in the UConn Invitational. This will be their first time participating in this event hosted by their BIG EAST foe and the third tournament of the fall season for the 'Cats.
THE EVENT:
Thirteen teams will be taking on the course, including the Wildcats and the host team, UConn. The rest of the field will consist of Boston College, Bryant, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fairfield, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Merrimack, Rhode Island, Sacred Heart, Siena and St. John's.
The tournament consists of 54 holes over three rounds, with 18 holes being played each day.
The first day of the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. and tee times for the other days are to be determined. Live stats for the tournament can be found through

THE COURSE:
GreatHorse Golf Course, located in Hampden, Mass., is a par 72 that is 7,577 yards long and was designed by Brian Silva. It hosted the 2018 Massachusetts Open Championship. UConn has hosted their home invitational at GreatHorse since 2018. It has a unique layout with 207 bunkers across the 18-hole course.

Individual:
Vimal Alokam
In the one spot, Pamer is coming off two top 10 finishes to start the campaign. He holds a stroke average of 70.6 through five rounds so far, with a low round of 66.
The younger Alokam has performed well through his first two collegiate events and owns the second lowest stroke average on the team with a 73.6. He shot his lowest round of the season, a 69, at The Doc Gimmler and had a top 20 finish at the Alex Lagowitz Invitational.
A Massachusetts native, Lehner, will be playing in his home state for the first time in his collegiate career. He finished tied for 42
nd at The Doc Gimmler with a low round of 71.
Zerfass and Lavely return to the lineup for this tournament. They both had a low round of 75 at the Alex Lagowitz Invitational.
The elder Alokam brother, Vimal, is competing as an individual to make his first appearance of the season, but with 72 rounds competed during his career and a stroke average just over 77. This tournament marks the first time that the Alokam brothers will compete in the same event collegiately.
