WESTFIELD, N.J. — The Villanova men's golf team heads to Westfield, N.J. Oct. 13-14 to compete in the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
VU competed in the tournament last season, finishing 12th. The Wildcats are coming off a fifth place finish at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse Sept. 30.
Through three tournaments in Fall, Villanova has picked up three consecutive top five finishes.
The Event
Eleven schools are competing in the Georgetown Intercollegiate — the hosting Hoyas, Cornell, Delaware, Drexel, Harvard, Howard, Loyola (MD), Saint Joseph's, Towson, William & Mary and Villanova.
The 36-hole tournament will be completed in two rounds, the first on Monday the second on Tuesday.
The Course
Echo Lake opened 112 years ago in 1913 and was renovated in 2017.
The course has a par of 71 and is 7,202 yards long. It is an hour-and-a-half drive from Villanova's campus.
Wildcats Lineup
Ryan Pamer tees off first for VU after finishing tied for 20th at GreatHorse.
Matt Zerfass hits second off the tee as he comes off a career tournament at GreatHorse. Zerfass tied for a career-high finish as he came in tied for third after shooting his Wildcats-best 213 (-3).
Brockton English finished 70th at GreatHorse and will hit third off the tee for VU.
Vibhav Alokam tees off fourth for Villanova. He shot 73 (+1) in the final round at GreatHorse.
Nathan Marion rounds out the VU lineup after shooting 221 (+5) in his season debut at GreatHorse.
