Glen Cove, N.Y. — The Villanova men's golf team finished 7th at the Nassau Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon at the Nassau Country Club.
VU shot 894 (+54) on the day, improving its position from 9th after day one. The finish broke a streak of four consecutive top five finishes for the Wildcats.
Ryan Pamer led Villanova with a sixth place finish, Pamer's third top 10 finish of the fall. Tuesday, the senior shot even to bring his total score for the tournament to 216 (+6).
Vibham Alokam followed, finishing tied for 24th after shooting 76 (+6) in the third round and 224 (+14) for the tournament.
Matt Zerfass came in tied for 39th, shooting 76 (+6) Tuesday and 228 (+18) overall.
Brockton English shot 79 (+9) in round three and 230 (+20) for the tournament, finishing tied for 45th.
In his season debut,
Ian Love shot 234 (+24), finishing tied for 58th. Love shot 77 (+7) Tuesday.
Luke Leonard, golfing as an individual, finished tied for 60th, shooting 235 (+25) in the tournament and 78 (+8) in the final round.
Up Next
Villanova rounds out its fall slate with a trip to Lafayette Hill, Pa. to compete in the Big 5 Invitational hosted by Penn Oct. 30. The tournament will take place at Union League Liberty Hill.
