GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Villanova Rowing hit the road to the Sunshine State this past week for its annual Spring Break Training Trip that was capped with a Saturday scrimmage with Jacksonville.

Carissa Adams said. "Although, we missed a few sessions due to windy conditions the team made the most of each training session. We continue to enjoy are training trips on Newnans Lake."
The 'Cats hit the water on Saturday to face off with the Dolphins to race in various pieces.
"We ended the week with our annual scrimmage with Jacksonville University and felt each boat raced competitive pieces," Adams said. "This trip is a great reward for our athletes after a long indoor winter training season. I am proud of the intention and competitiveness they brought to Gainesville and am even more excited to see our whole team progress through the spring."
Villanova has one scrimmage left on its slate before heading into the spring schedule. The Wildcats will head to Allentown, Pa. for a scrimmage with Lehigh to pave the way for their spring opener at the Doc Hosea on March 29.
