EASTON, Pa. – Men's Golf placed third at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette College.
The Wildcats shot six-over 296 on the second day, finishing at 14-over 590.
Sacred Heart won the team portion of the event, shooting one-under on the day to capture the victory. Millersville's Timothy Peters won a playoff round against Kai-Jun Huang from Merrimack to leave the course victorious.
THE LINEUP (ALL 11 LISTED BY FINISH)
Jackson Lehner shot even for the second consecutive day to record his third career top 10 finish and second of the season as he finished fifth at the Chestnut Hill Invitational. Three consecutive birdies helped Lehner tie for ninth, keeping him at two-under par for the majority of the event. The senior shot two-over 38 on the back nine; however, that did not affect his individual score much, as he tied for 12th among all competitors on day two. Lehner shot three-under across par five holes over the two-day event.
Ryan Pamer carded a two-over 74 finish on the second day of the event to complete the event at three-over 147. He shot one-under 35 on the back nine, assisted by two birdies. He finished in 16th, tallying his 25th career top 20 finish.
Matt Zerfass shot par or under on 15 of the 18 holes he played in the second round. He carded five-over 149 in the event, including two-over 74 on the second day. Zerfass placed 24th at the conclusion of the event. The junior tied for the lead in the event shooting par on 28 of the 36 holes he played.
Ian Love shot one-over 73 on day two, setting a career-best finish as he tied for 28th. He was able to tie his career-low round, shooting the 73.
Joshua Lavely tied Love for the highest-placed Wildcat individual after the end of competition, shooting three over 75, as the two finished tied for fourth among individuals.
Nathan Marion shot two-over 74, tying for 36th. The sophomore shot one under across 12 holes from hole 4 to hole 15 and birdied two holes on the day.
Gus Vickers shot seven-over 151 on the event after carding a four-over 76 on his second time around the course.
Vibhav Alokam recorded two identical rounds of three over 39, finishing the event tied for 43rd at eight over.
Vimal Alokam carded a season-low round of one-over 73 in the final round, shooting him 24 spots up the leaderboard to tie for 66th. The senior tied for the event lead shooting one-under on all par three holes.
Lehner, Love, and Vim Alokam tied for the team lead with four birdies.
Peter Barros shot 12-over 84 and finished the tournament tied for 92nd.
Cameron Besaw finished nine-over 81 on day two, completing the event in 81st place.

Villanova returns to the course in West Virginia next Monday and Tuesday, April 14 and 15, at the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye, hosted by West Virginia University.
