Josue Valdez has been named to the last BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll of 2025, the conference announced Monday (May 19). It is the first BIG EAST weekly honor of Valdez's career.
Valdez closed his Villanova career by hitting two home runs over the weekend and tying a career-high three RBI in Friday's win over Seton Hall. The senior had a .369 batting average and a .909 slugging percentage during the week.
On the season, the Bronx, N.Y. native recorded career highs in batting average (.277), home runs (4), runs scored (16) and slugging percentage (.523). His slugging percentage in conference play was fourth highest in the BIG EAST at .706.
As a team, the Wildcats recorded nine weekly conference honors. The team earned three pitcher of the week awards, one player of the week award, and five weekly honor roll nods.
