• DePaul's last outing was a 1-1 draw at Butler on Sept. 24, ending a two-match losing skid. Tewabech Seerup scored the equalizer in the 70th minute, marking the team's first goal in 203:57 minutes of action over a four-game stretch. That draw gave the Blue Demons their lone point in BIG EAST action, putting them in a three-way tie for ninth on the conference table.
• Head coach Michele O'Brien's squad is 2-4 this year when hosting teams at Wish Field with a 7-10 scoring output. All four of the home losses the Blue Demons have faced have been in shutout fashion.
• The Blue Demons boast the third-most saves per game in the BIG EAST This season at 3.20 and are second for yellow cards at 12.
• DePaul has been outscored 14-10 by its opponents this season, placing 44 of its 96 shot attempts on frame. Opponents have made 129 shot attempts against the Blue Demons defense with just 46 landing on frame. 
• Mason Hillery has been the primary goalkeeper for the Blue Demons, starting in all nine of her appearances. In 736 minutes, she has allowed 12 goals while making 24 saves at a .667 saving clip with a 3-6 record. She has posted a pair of five-save games, marking season high's for the team. Maddie Iro also had five against Butler.
• Katelyn Jamie leads the team with three goals this season, all of those coming in the season-opening win over Chicago State on August 14. Tessa Fagerson and Mya Gardner are the only other Blue Demons with multiple goals this season, each of them scoring two.
• Sienna Gonzales has been the leading shooter for DePaul this season, placing 10 of her 22 shots on frame. She had a season-high seven shots in the win over Chicago State with three of those on goal.

• This is the second of three consecutive road contests for Villanova after a 9-0 loss at Xavier on Saturday. After this, the Wildcats will have a 10-day layoff before a trip to St. John's on Oct. 11. The group is 2-3 away from Villanova this season.
• The 'Cats are in bounce-back mode for a second straight match as they look to evade their first three-game losing streak in conference play since the end of the 2023 season. They have not seen a goal in the last two games. Their last goal came in the 27th minute of the 1-0 win over Seton Hall in the BIG EAST opener on Sept. 20.
• With their most recent loss, Villanova moved down to sixth in the BIG EAST standings, still with three points.
• Wednesday is the 23rd all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Blue Demons since the series began in 2005 with the record sitting at an even 10-10-2. Both sides have gone 2-2-1 in the last five matchups with the most recent being a 1-1 draw on Oct. 3, 2024 inside Higgins Soccer Complex. Susanna Soderman had the first goal in the 39th minute on a penalty kick before Shayna da Silva equalized it in the 63rd for DePaul.
• Villanova is 4-6 when playing in the Windy City during the series, dropping each of the last six by a 2-11 margin. The last win at DePaul was on Oct. 14, 2011 with the 'Cats leaving as 3-2 victors.

On the Open Road: Villanova is on the road nine times in 2025, currently sitting at 2-3 away from the Main Line this year. With head coach Samar Azem at the helm, Villanova has gone 9-15-7 away in road games.

Familiar Foes: Since joining the league in 1995, Villanova is 104-140-37 against the BIG EAST. With Azem at the helm, the 'Cats have gone 7-17-9 against conference foes.

Against Ranked Sides: Villanova is 0-2 this season when taking on nationally ranked teams, falling to No. 25 Xavier on Sept. 27, 9-0, and No. 10 Wake Forest, 2-0, on August 21. Last year, Villanova played three teams in the top-25, falling in all three contests by a combined 8-0 margin: No. 1 Florida State, 0-2, No. 21 Xavier, 0-3, and No. 23 Georgetown, 0-3.

Villanova gave up its most goals since 1996 in a 9-0 loss against the No. 24 Musketeers on Saturday. Hannah Curtin led Villanova with two shots that she landed on goal in the loss, both of those coming in the first half of play. Elin Hansson gave Xavier a 2-0  lead heading into halftime but needed just five minutes into the second half to net a hat trick. From there, Xavier added on six more goals including a pair from Samantha Erbach. The Musketeers had six different goal scorers with six players also grabbing assists for a 27-point day. Hannah Dickinson and Allie Vincent split time in net in the loss with Dickinson making two saves.
