NEWARK, Del. – The Villanova University men's tennis team heads out on the road this weekend for a pair of non-conference matchups, opening with Delaware before traveling to Philadelphia to take on Drexel.
The Wildcats enter the weekend building off a productive fall season that featured strong individual performances across the lineup. Several returners picked up key wins in tournament play, giving Villanova valuable momentum heading into the spring slate.
Last spring, Delaware finished with a 14-9 overall record and a 3-0 mark in CAA play. Meanwhile, Drexel wrapped the 2025 season at 10-8 overall, providing a competitive presence in its matches and a balanced slate of results.
Villanova has faced both Delaware and Drexel regularly in recent seasons and looks to continue its competitive play away from home. The road trip provides an early test as the Wildcats aim to establish rhythm and depth in singles and doubles competition.
Delaware and Drexel each return experienced rosters, making the weekend a challenging stretch for Villanova as it begins the season.
