New for the 2025-26 academic year, Villanova will announce its top performers from the previous week in a press release and social media post each Monday afternoon. The weekly wrap will recognize one standout student-athlete from each sport who competed during the previous week.
Â
VILLANOVA, Pa.— After a holiday break, the Villanova Athletics Weekly Wrap is back for 2026! This week's edition includes athletic events which took place during the period of December 15-January 4. The Villanova Athletics Weekly Wrap is sponsored by Zajac and Padilla. The men's and women's basketball teams have each continued their impressive seasons in recent weeks, while the football team wrapped up one of the most successful seasons in program history in the semifinal round of the FCS playoffs. Villanova Athletics is poised to start 2026 on a strong note with seven teams in action during the coming week. Â
