FAIRFAX, Va. – The Villanova University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the George Mason Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
George Mason secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions to take the early lead.
In singles play, the Patriots claimed five of the six matches to seal the team victory.
Ethan Carr recorded the Wildcats' lone point of the match, earning a 7-6, 6-4 win over Simayola at the No. 4 position.
Cooper Gordon battled in a tightly contested three-set match at No. 1 singles before falling 4-6, 6-3, 11-9.
