SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Villanova golf team finished its first day at the Savannah Intercollegiate tied for 12th Saturday.
The 'Cats shot 597 (+21) as a team on the day.
Matt Zerfass finished the day in 26th place after shooting 70 (-2) in the first round and 77 (+5) in the second to finish the day at 147 (+3).
Ryan Pamer followed for VU in 39th, shooting 149 (+5) through two rounds.
Vibhav Alokam finished the day in 43rd, shooting 150 (+6). Alokam eagled at four in the second round.
Brockton English rounded out the scored Villanova golfers, finishing tied for 50th after shooting 151 (+7) through Saturday.
VU individuals
Nathan Marion,
Joshua Lavely,
Luke Leonard,
Peter Barros and
Ian Love were led by Lavely, who shot 151 (+7) and also sits tied for 50th after the first two rounds.
