The Villanova Wildcats will wrap up the 2025-26 regular season on Thursday night with a road game at Seton Hall. Villanova enters play with a 22-6 overall record and a 15-4 BIG EAST mark, while Seton Hall is 18-9 on the year and 12-6 in league action. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., and the game can be seen on Peacock.
Thursday's game between Villanova and Seton Hall will be the second meeting of the season between the two schools. In the first meeting at Villanova on Dec. 19, the Wildcats recorded a 72-55 win.
Jasmine Bascoe led all scorers in the win with 20 points to go with seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Ryanne Allen had 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including a 5-of-7 effort from three-point range.Â
Brynn McCurry registered a career-best eight assists and a career-high four steals. Seton Hall was paced by Jada Eads with 12 points and Savannah Catalon who had 11 points.
The Wildcats and Pirates will meet for the 79th time on Thursday night. Villanova currently leads the all-time series by a 52-26 margin. The Wildcats have won 15 of the last 19 versus Seton Hall. The Wildcats are also 17-4 in their last 21 trips to Walsh Gymnasium and have won seven of the last eight at Seton Hall.Â
Villanova will finish in second place in the BIG EAST standings regardless of Thursday's result at Seton Hall. Villanova was picked to finish fourth in the preseason predicted order of finish behind Connecticut, Marquette and Seton Hall. As the two-seed in next week's BIG EAST Tournament, Villanova will play at 7 p.m., in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 7.

Denae Carter was outstanding in her final two games played at the Finneran Pavilion. Her best effort of the week came against No. 1 Connecticut on Feb. 18 when she scored a career-high 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including a 3-of-3 effort from three-point range to go with three steals, three blocks and two rebounds. Carter has six three-point field goals for her career with three coming in the Connecticut game. On Senior Day against Marquette on Sunday, Carter tallied 14 points, five rebounds, three steals and a block. In the two games, she had 35 points and connected on 14-of-21 from the field.
The Wildcats are led in scoring by Bascoe who is averaging 18.4 points per game. Bascoe has 12, 20-point games to her credit this season and 20 for her career. She has reached double figures in 26 of the 28 games this year and in 55 of 62 career games. She currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring behind Connecticut's Sarah Strong who is averaging 19.0 points per game.
