ST. SIMON'S ISLAND, Ga. — The Villanova golf team finished fourth as a team in the first round at the People's Championship at The Club at Sea Palms Thursday. 

Villanova shot 279 (-5) on the day and were led by Ryan Pamer, who shot 67 (-4), finishing tied for fourth.  

Matt Zerfass followed, shooting 68 (-3) and finishing tied for 8th. 

Brockton English finished tied for 35th after shooting 71 (E). 

Vibhav Alokam came in tied for 56th, shooting 73 (+2). 

Joshua Lavely finished tied for 71st and shot 74 (+3) on the day.

Peter Barros, golfing as an individual shot 76 (+5) and finished the round tied for 92nd.
