ST. SIMON'S ISLAND, Ga. — The Villanova golf team finished tied for fifth at the Peoples Championship Saturday at The Club at Sea Palms. 

The 'Cats shot 852 (E) and improved their score by seven strokes from round two to round three after they shot 283 (-1) in the closing round of the tournament. 

Ryan Pamer led the way for VU, shooting 210 (-4) in the tournament and 71 (E) in round three to close out in Georgia tied for 12th. 

Matt Zerfass followed tied for 16th, shooting 212 (-1) in the three days and 74 (+3) on the day. 

Vibhav Alokam finished tied for 25th, shooting his best round of the week, 69 (-2) Saturday. Alokam finished shooting 214 (+1) in the tournament. 

Brockton English finished tied for 37th, shooting 216 (+3) in the tournament and 69 (-2) Saturday. 

Joshua Lavely rounded out the VU lineup, shooting 235 (+22) and 83 (+12) Saturday. 

Golfing as an individual, Peter Barros finished 120th, shooting 241 (+28) and 84 (+13) to end his tournament.
