For the league-leading fourth time this year, Villanova junior LSM Jake Melchionni earned BIG EAST Specialist of the Week in the conference's final weekly awards. The Delbarton graduate also picked up a USILA Team of the Week honor, his second this year, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bernardsville, N.J. native had another impressive outing between the lines on Friday night, contributing a career-best five caused turnovers in addition to a game-high seven ground balls against Georgetown. 

Villanova's lead LSM caused multiple turnovers in 10 different games this year and scooped up more than five GBs on seven occasions in his junior season. 

Melchionni and the Wildcats now gear up for the BIG EAST Tournament, shipping up to Providence for a Thursday night bout against the #2 seed Friars at 7:30 p.m. from Anderson Stadium.
