LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats are coming off their highest-scoring performance of the season, a 20-10 road win over Delaware State on Tuesday in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic.

Villanova wasted no time offensively, erupting for seven runs in the second inning. John Freitag sparked the rally with an RBI double, scoring Carter Richey after his leadoff two-bagger. A sacrifice fly from Larry Hotaling and a bases-loaded walk by Brayden Leonard extended the lead, while a wild pitch pushed the margin to four.

Michael Whooley added to the outburst with a two-run single, later coming around to score as the Wildcats jumped out to a 7-0 advantage.

Delaware State responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning, all unearned following two Villanova errors.

Holding an 8-6 lead, Villanova created separation with a five-run fifth inning. Austin Lemon launched his first home run of the season, a two-run shot, while Collin Quintano added a two-run double. The Wildcats plated another run on a passed ball to make it 13-6.

The offensive surge continued late, as Freitag and Jake Bollin each homered in the seventh and eighth innings. Bollin's three-run blast highlighted the eighth, and he capped his day with a two-run single in the ninth. Bollin finished with five RBI as Villanova cruised to the 20-10 victory.

VILLANOVA AS OF LATE
Villanova's offense broke through in a major way against Delaware State. The 20 runs marked the program's highest output since scoring 21 against Butler in April 2025.

Collin Quintano leads the team in RBI and ranks first with seven home runs, while hitting .318 on the season. Brayden Leonard has paced the Wildcats in hits, tallying a team-high 33.

On the mound, senior Graham Moore has been dominant out of the bullpen. Over his last four appearances, Moore has thrown six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out seven.
