PENNSAUKEN, Pa. – For the second consecutive year, Villanova finished fourth place at the CAA Rowing Championships on Saturday on the Cooper River. The team earned 25 team points.
The day was highlighted by bronze-medal showings from the 3V8 and 2V8. It marked the first time since 2021 that at least two Villanova boats medaled at the championship and the third time since joining the CAA in the 2015-16 season. As a whole, the Wildcats have now finished fourth or better in eight of their last 10 CAA Championship appearances. Their times on Saturday saw season-bests for the 3V8, 2V8 and V8.

Jalyn Colon were named to the All-CAA Team. This is Colon's first nod from the conference while Coyne becomes the program's first three-time All-CAA selection.

Lilly-Kate Foley started the day on a high note for the Blue and White. They held off a surging Drexel boat near the finish line to cross with a third-place, season-best time of 7:05.904 behind Northeastern and UConn in first and second, respectively.

Mary Eagle posted a fifth-place time of 7:51.994 in the V4 Grand Final. Their placement gave the 'Cats three points toward the team total.

Mary Tracy brought in the second podium finish for the 'Cats and another season-best time for the boat. They fell into a fast final sprint with UConn and Drexel to cross in 6:47.649 and give the Wildcats 10 team points, just five seconds off the second-place Huskies and five seconds ahead of the Dragons.

Natalia Peng turned in a season-best time of 6:39.809 that was good enough for fourth-place and 12 team points. There were a total of three and a half seconds separating second and four in that one with the 'Cats finishing just 1.7 seconds behind third-place Drexel in 6:38.183.
Northeastern won the CAA title for a 12
th consecutive years with 42 teams points. UConn and Drexel followed in second (36) and third (28), respectively.
