HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — The Villanova golf team finished seventh overall after the first two rounds of the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship Sunday at RIver Pointe Golf Club.
VU shot 578 (+2) as a team.
Ryan Pamer leads the way in the tournament, tied for first after shooting 138 (-6). Pamer did not bogey the entire first round.
The senior bogeyed twice in the second round, but countered with six birdies, shooting 68 (-4).
Brockton English shot 136 (+1) on the day and sits tied for 20th. English was tied for second in the second round with a score of 69 (-3).
Matt Zerfass finished the day tied for 23rd, shooting 146 (+2).
Vibhav Alokam rounded out the Villanova lineup, finishing the first two rounds tied for 43rd after shooting 149 (+5).
The BIG EAST will crown a champion tomorrow with the final round set to tee off at 9 a.m.
