VILLANOVA, Pa. – Kris Jenkins, who launched the iconic 3-pointer that lifted Villanova past North Carolina in the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and into NCAA Tournament lore, has returned to his alma mater in the full-time role as the Athletics Operations Coordinator.
 
In this position, Jenkins will contribute to a range of areas across the spectrum of Villanova Athletics including Facilities, Events and Equipment Operations; Live streamed game broadcasts produced by Athletics; on-camera contributions to video production distributed on social media; external relations on behalf of the department and the Villanova Athletic Fund; and Student-Athlete Development initiatives and programs.
 
"Kris is a beloved figure at Villanova," stated Vice President/Director of Athletics Eric Roedl, "and not merely because he hit what may be the most famous game-winner in the history of the NCAA Tournament. From his days as an undergraduate, Kris has always been humble, approachable and engaging. Now, he brings those traits to our team as he learns about the multiple ways our staff strives to create the best experience possible for our student-athletes, coaches and fans."

A native of Upper Marlboro, Md., Jenkins played 146 games from 2013-17 at Villanova, scoring 1,383 points while connecting on .373 of his 3-point field goal attempts. Alongside classmates Josh Hart and Darryl Reynolds, Jenkins helped the Wildcats to 129 wins in his four years on campus. Following his graduation in May 2017, Jenkins played professionally overseas.
