On Vitton: Has the second-most career goalie wins (26) in Villanova history entering the 2023 season … Ranked fifth in the program record book in both saves and saves per game … Comes off a season in which he had the fifth-most wins and 10^th-most saves in a single year in school history … Two-time second team All-BIG EAST selection during his career … Nine-time BIG EAST weekly honoree and two-time selection to the USILA Team of the Week … Was named to the BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team last season … Has played in 46 career games with 45 starts … Owns a 26-19 (.578) record in goal with 509 saves and an average of 11.07 saves per game … Has a .508 save percentage and an 11.53 goals-against average spanning more than 2,500 minutes (2566:33) in goal … Five-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and has been a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in all nine of his semesters on campus.
 
2022: Named to the BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team after making 30 saves in the conference tournament, including 13 stops in a semifinal win over Denver which lifted Villanova into the BIG EAST championship game for the first time in eight years … Selected as the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week twice during the season … His nine wins on the year are tied for the fifth most in a single season in school history while his 179 saves are the 10^th most in a season on the Wildcats record book … Started all 15 games of the season and went 9-6 with 179 saves compared to 172 goals allowed … Averaged 11.9 saves per game with a .510 save percentage and an 11.78 goals-against average … Ranked third in the BIG EAST in both goals-against average and save percentage in addition to being fourth in the league in saves per game … His marks in all three categories were in the top-40 nationally … Logged 876:17 in goal for the year while playing more than 97 percent of the team’s minutes … Made 10+ saves in 11 of his 15 outings, including five games with 15 or more stops … Recorded his season high of 17 saves in wins over Delaware and Marquette, as well as against Georgetown in the BIG EAST final … Averaged 14.0 saves per game against BIG EAST opponents, including both the regular season and the conference tournament.
 
2021: Started in 11 of the team’s 12 games … Totaled 610 minutes between the posts and had a 10.43 goals-against average to go along with a .500 save percentage and 106 saves … Made a season-high 16 stops at Providence … Played 492 minutes versus BIG EAST foes while compiling a 10.35 goals-against average, a .514 save percentage and an average of 10 saves per game.
 
2020: Started all seven games of the abbreviated season and logged 373 minutes in goal … Had a 13.03 goals-against average and a .494 save percentage while making 79 saves and averaging 11.2 saves per game … Had a season-high 14 saves in a win over Maryland and matched that total against Penn … Went 4-2 on the year.
 
2019: Appeared in 13 games with 12 starts … Totaled 707:13 in goal … Finished the year with an 11.37 goals-against average and a .518 save percentage … Had 144 saves and averaged 11.1 saves per game … Had a career-high 19 saves in the win at Denver … Started all five regular season BIG EAST games and had a 10.47 goals-against average with a .603 save percentage … Averaged 15.8 saves per game in BIG EAST play with 79 total stops.
 
Summit High School: Three varsity letters in lacrosse and four in hockey…Named First-Team All-State, First Team Fitch Pitch, U.S. Lacrosse All-American, NJ Goalie of the Year in 2018…During his junior year named NJ Lacrosse Underclass Under Amour All-American, First Team All-State and First Team Fitch Pitt…Boasted a .730 save percentage and 3.40 goals against average…In hockey helped lead his team to a State Championship and a McInnis Cup Championship in 2018…Named Second Team McInnis (2018), First Team Union County (2017)…Ranks 10^th all-time in Summit high school goals scored.

Personal: Born June 21, 1999 in Morristown, New Jersey to Chuck and Julie Vitton…Has two older siblings, Anna and Alec…Sister, Anna, played lacrosse at Elon, grandfather, John Vitton, started the Ohio State Men’s Ice Hockey Program, grandfather, Julian Tylka, played basketball at University of Wisconsin Platteville…Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences…Hobbies include water skiing and going to the beach…Chose Villanova because I felt that it gave me the best opportunity to pursue both my academic and athletic aspirations. The success that Villanova helps set you up with is something that most colleges cannot offer and being able to compete year in and year out for a National Championship makes it the best of both worlds.
