2021: BIG EAST Championships (10/29): Posted a time of 24:20.2 at the conference championships in her only race of the season.

2020: Was the third finisher in the Villanova lineup at the BIG EAST Championships in the only team race of the season; BIG EAST Championships (3/5): Tallied a 27th place overall finish at the conference meet and covered the 6000 meter course in 21:37.1 in her first cross country race since the end of the 2019 season (2020 conference championships were held in spring 2021).

2019: Competed at all six of the team's meets during the season ... Was a scoring runner for the Wildcats four times, including being the team's number four runner at all three of the postseason meets; Main Line Invitational (9/20): Made her collegiate debut in the season opener at Haverford ... Produced a time of 17:34.9 over three miles to finish seventh overall in the race; Paul Short Run (10/5): Posted a time of 21:47.4 over 6,000 meters ... Finished 172nd out of 369 runners in the women's college gold race; Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (10/18): Came in fifth in the Villanova lineup and tallied a time of 22:09.8 on the 6,000 meter course in Wisconsin ... The Wildcats competed in a field of 36 teams that included 20 nationally-ranked squads; BIG EAST Championships (11/2): Recorded a 21st place overall finish and was the fourth Villanova runner across the finish line at the conference meet ... Registered a time of 22:45.8 and was less than a second off of earning all-conference honors; NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional (11/15): Tallied a season-best time of 20:57.0 at the regional meet ... Came in fourth in the Villanova lineup and was 32nd overall out of more than 200 runners ... Her efforts helped the Wildcats finish second in the team standings and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships; NCAA Championships (11/23): Finished fourth in the Villanova lineup for the third straight meet ... Recorded a time of 22:05.9 over 6000 meters in her first collegiate national championship race and finished 202nd overall ... Villanova came in 24th in the team standings in its fifth straight appearance at the NCAA Championships.

2021: Opened her 2021 competition season at the Clemson Invitational as a competitor in the 800 meters; Clemson Invitational (1/16): Came in fourth in the 800 meters in 2:09.93 in her first race in nearly a year.

2020: Competed at five meets during the season ... Recorded personal best times at both 1000 meters and in the Mile ... Earned three All-BIG EAST honors and helped the Wildcats win their third consecutive indoor conference title; Wesley A. Brown Invitational (1/18): Runner-up in the 1000 meters with a personal best time of 2:51.24 in her first collegiate track race ... Also ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay at the meet, recording a split of 58.12 in a race where Villanova came in second with a time of 3:55.35; Dr. Sander Invitational/Columbia Challenge (1/25): Placed 10th in the Mile with a time of 4:55.57; Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/8): Ran her only 800 meter race of the season at Penn State and claimed a third place finish with a time of 2:13.19; David Hemery Valentine Invitational (2/14): Recorded a personal best time in the Mile with a mark of 4:48.48 and came in 34th out of more than 250 competitors ... Lowered her high school PR by nearly a full second in the race; BIG EAST Championships (3/1-3/2): Garnered a total of three All-BIG EAST honors at the conference meet, including individually in the Mile and as part of both the distance medley relay and the 4x800 meter relay ... Came in third in the final of the Mile with a time of 4:57.28 after placing fifth overall during the preliminary heats in 4:54.32 ... Led off the DMR, running the 1200 meter leg of the race as the Wildcats eventually came in second with a time of 11:43.53 ... Ran the second leg of the 4x800 relay in which Villanova was the runner-up with a time of 8:54.09 ... Contributed a total of 10 team points towards the Wildcats winning the BIG EAST title for the third straight year.

2021: Earned All-BIG EAST honors as the anchor of the Wildcats lineup in the 4x800 meter relay at the BIG EAST Championships … Individual BIG EAST scorer in the 800 meters and qualified to run at the NCAA East Preliminary meet … Ran a leg of the seventh-fastest 4x400 meter relay in school history and later anchored the Wildcats relay squad at the NCAA East meet … Registered personal best times in both the 400 meters and the 800 meters during the season … Competed at a total of seven meets during her first collegiate outdoor season; Villanova Opener (3/19): Runner-up in the 400 meters with a time of 57.18 and came in third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:37.30 at the Wildcats home meet to open the outdoor season; Raleigh Relays (3/27): Finished 10^th in the 800 meters against strong competition at North Carolina State and recorded a time of 2:07.83; Temple Invite (4/9): Tallied a personal best mark of 56.82 in the 400 meters and notched a fourth place finish at Temple … Led off the 4x400 meter relay for a Villanova team that came in first with a winning time of 3:42.76; Virginia Challenge (4/17): Lowered her lifetime best in the 800 meters to a time of 2:06.86 to qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary meet … Ran the third leg of the 4x400 meter relay for a Wildcats squad that finished third with a time of 3:39.99 … Produced a season-best split of 54.92 for her leg of the relay; Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational (4/24): Ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay and helped the Wildcats post the seventh-fastest time in school history with a mark of 3:38.78 … That time also wound up qualifying Villanova to send its 4x400 relay to the NCAA East Preliminary meet for the first time in a decade … Had a split of 54.99 on her leg of the relay as the Wildcats competed in a local meet at Franklin Field during the traditional weekend of the Penn Relays; BIG EAST Championships (5/14-5/15): Anchored the 4x800 meter relay to a second place finish and All-BIG EAST honors in addition to scoring individually with a fourth place finish in the 800 meters … Posted a time of 2:09.03 in the final of the 800 meters to move up two spots after ranking sixth in the preliminary heats with a time of 2:10.15 … The 4x800 squad posted a time of 8:51.76 … Her performances contributed to Villanova winning the BIG EAST team title for the third straight outdoor season; NCAA East Preliminary (5/27, 5/29): Ran in the national first round heats of the 800 meters and recorded a time of 2:10.11 to finish eighth in her heat … Anchored the 4x400 meter relay as Villanova competed at the NCAA East meet in the relay for the first time since 2011 … Had a split of 55.67 on the anchor leg and the Wildcats posted a time of 3:39.68 to finish 20^th overall in the national quarterfinal round after entering the meet ranked 24^th in the field of qualified relay teams.

Woodstock High School: Starred in both cross country and track & field for her high school team … As a senior was the Atlanta All-Metro Cross Country Runner of the Year and was chosen by the Atlanta Journal Constitution as the Female Track Athlete of the Year … Earned Atlanta All-Metro honors in track & field … Also was the Cherokee County Athlete of the Year as both a junior and a senior … Two-year member of the National Honor Society as a junior and a senior … Winner of the Lamp of Knowledge Award in 2018 and an academic letter in 2017.

Personal: Born 2/21/01 in Atlanta, Ga. … Older of two children of Brad and Tosha Sumner … Has a younger brother, Will … Both parents are Villanova track & field and cross country alums, and mother is a 2013 inductee to the Varsity Club Hall of Fame … Hobbies include spending time outdoors with family and friends, cooking, baking and being involved with her local church … Chose to attend Villanova for its blend of academic and athletics excellence … Noted the tradition of the distance running program and the team’s success at the Penn Relays as deciding factors, along with the strength of the Villanova community … Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
