2019-20 (Vermont): Competed in both the shot put and the weight throw at seven meets during the indoor season, including at the America East Championships;
Dartmouth and Maine (12/14): Came in fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.49 meters and was seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 13.54 meters in his first competition of the season;
Dartmouth Relays (1/10): Came in fourth in the shot put (14.89m) and 10
th in the weight throw (12.84m);
Middlebury Winterfell (1/18): Finished first in the shot put and recorded a personal best mark of 14.95 meters with his winning throw … Runner-up in the weight throw with a then-personal best distance of 15.01 meters;
John Thomas Terrier Classic (1/24): Recorded marks of 14.51 meters in the shot put and 11.80 meters in the weight throw at Boston University;
New England Championships (1/31-2/1): Competed in the shot put (14.39m) and the weight throw (12.69m);

2019 (Vermont): Competed five times in the shot put during the year … Tallied a career-best finish at the America East Championships and recorded the best performance of his career at the conference meet;
Middlebury Winterfell (1/19): Recorded a first place finish with a mark of 14.37 meters in the shot put in his first competition of the year;
Middlebury Invitational (1/26): Finished first with a then-personal best mark of 14.89 meters;
New England Championships (2/2): Came in 13
th in the shot put with a recorded distance of 14.55 meters;
David Hemery Valentine Invite (2/9): Recorded a mark of 14.60 meters at Boston University;
America East Championships (2/23): Scored five team points in the shot put with the best performance of his career at the conference championships … Threw for a personal best distance of 14.90 meters and tallied a fourth place finish in the competition.
2017-18 (Vermont): Competed at six meets during the season and recorded a 10
th place finish in the shot put at the America East Championships;
Dartmouth, Maine and New Hampshire (12/8-12/9): Opened the season by recording a distance of 10.63 meters in the weight throw and finishing fifth in the shot put with a measured distance of 12.94 meters;
Brown, Dartmouth and Maine (1/13): Registered a sixth place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 11.49 meters and came in eighth in the shot put with a mark of 12.09 meters;
Middlebury Winterfell (1/20): Placed fifth in the shot put (13.16m) and ninth in the weight throw (11.74m);
Dartmouth, Maine and New Hampshire (1/27): Came in fifth in the shot put (12.67m) and seventh in the weight throw (11.41m);
David Hemery Invite (2/10): Recorded a mark of 13.32 meters in the shot put in his final tune-up before the conference championships;
America East Championships (2/24): Recorded a 10
th place finish in the shot put and notched a season-best throw of 14.10 meters at the conference meet.
2016-17 (Vermont): Threw the shot put at eight meets during his first collegiate season and also competed four times in the weight throw … Competed in the shot put at the America East Championships;
Hartford (12/3): Recorded a pair of first place finishes in his collegiate debut, posting marks of 13.11 meters in the shot put and 11.49 meters in the weight throw in a Vermont home meet;
Jay Carisella Invitational (12/10): Tallied a 12
th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.31 meters at Northeastern;
Dartmouth, Maine and RPI (1/14): Recorded marks of 12.88 meters in the shot put and 10.20 meters in the weight throw;
Middlebury Winterfell (1/21): Came in third in the shot put with a distance of 13.34 meters and was fifth in the weight throw (11.37m) at Middlebury;
Dartmouth, Maine and New Hampshire (1/28): Posted distances of 12.82 meters in the shot put and 11.82 meters in the weight throw;
Dartmouth Indoor Classic (2/4): Recorded a distance of 11.13 meters in the shot put;
David Hemery Invitational (2/11): Measured a distance of 13.00 meters in the shot put;
America East Championships (2/25): Competed in the shot put at his first collegiate conference meet and recorded a mark of 12.87 meters.
2022 (Villanova): In his first outdoor season of competition since 2019 was an All-BIG EAST performer in the shot put and also scored in the discus at the BIG EAST Championships … Competed in three meets for the Wildcats during the year;
Penn Challenge (3/19): Came in seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.28 meters and finished 11
th in the discus with a mark of 42.48 meters at the outdoor season opener;
Florida Relays (4/2): Finished ninth in the shot put (13.28m) and 24
th in the discus (41.90m) against strong competition in Florida;
BIG EAST Championships (5/13-5/14): Tallied lifetime best marks in all three of his events at the conference meet … Recorded a third place finish in the shot put with a throw of 15.29 meters to place on the awards podium and earn All-BIG EAST recognition … Added a seventh place finish in the discus with a throw of 43.17 meters on the final day of the meet after coming in 10
th in the hammer a day earlier with a mark of 48.46 meters.
2019 (Vermont): Scored in the shot put with an outdoor career best fifth place finish at the America East Championships … Competed at six meets during the season and threw the shot put, discus, hammer and javelin throughout the year;
River Hawk Invitational (3/30): Recorded a third place finish in the shot put with a mark of 14.59 meters to go along with a sixth place finish in the discus (39.48m) and a ninth place result in the javelin (48.09m);
Colonial Relays (4/5-4/6): Finished sixth in the shot put with a distance of 14.61 meters … Tallied marks of 44.77 meters in the javelin and 37.39 meters in the discus in the meet at William & Mary;
Dartmouth, Hartford and UMass-Lowell (4/12): Finished third in both the shot put (14.45m) and the hammer (43.74m) while placing fourth in the discus (41.04m) in a meet hosted by Dartmouth;
Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational (4/20): Tallied top-eight finishes in all three of his events on the day, coming in fourth in the shot put (14.62m), fifth in the discus (41.28m) and eighth in the hammer (40.31m) at Northeastern;
America East Championships (5/4-5/5): His fifth place finish in the shot put was the best of his career at the outdoor conference championships and one spot off where he finished indoors … Scored four team points with his then-season best throw of 14.80 meters … Came in 13
th in the discus (37.59m) and the hammer (40.92m) at the conference championships;
New England Invitational (5/11): Tallied a 10
th place finish in the shot put with a personal best throw of 15.24 meters.
2018 (Vermont): Competed at seven meets during the outdoor campaign … Threw both the shot put and the discus at the America East Championships, as well as the shot put at the New England Championships;
The River Hawk Invitational (3/31): Opened the season with a fourth place finish in both the shot put and the discus to go along with an eighth place result in the hammer … His marks for the day included 13.40 meters in the shot put, 37.45 meters in the discus and 25.91 meters in the hammer;
Minuteman Invitational (4/7): Came in ninth in the shot put (13.25m) as well as 10
th in both the discus (35.44m) and the hammer (32.42m);
Dartmouth, Hartford and UMass-Lowell (4/13): Recorded fifth place finishes in both the discus (41.20m) and the hammer (37.42m) to go along with a seventh place finish in the shot put (13.43m);
Spring Classic (4/21): Came in sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.36 meters, finished ninth in the discus with a throw of 37.90 meters and was 15
th in the hammer with a distance of 36.44 meters;
UMass Pre-Conference Meet (4/28): Came in eighth in the shot put (14.04m), ninth in the discus (38.26m) and 10
th in the hammer (32.82m);
America East Championships (5/6): Posted marks of 13.41 meters in the shot put and 41.10 meters in the discus at the conference meet;
New England Championships (5/12): Recorded a mark of 12.51 meters in the shot put.
2017 (Vermont): Saw action at seven meets during the season and competed in the shot put and the discus at the America East Championships;
Black and Gold Invitational (4/1): Finished seventh in the shot put (12.58m), eighth in the hammer (34.00m) and ninth in the discus (36.43m) at Bryant in his first outdoor meet of the year;
UMass Quad Meet (4/7): Finished third in the hammer at Massachusetts with a mark of 31.72 meters and came in fifth in both the shot put (11.29m) and the discus (36.38m);
Dartmouth, Hartford and UMass-Lowell (4/14): Came in fifth in the hammer with a throw of 33.69 meters and finished with marks of 11.69 meters in the shot put and 36.88 meters in the discus;
Catamount Invitational (4/18): Posted a trifecta of first-place finishes in a Vermont home meet and won the shot put (12.59m), discus (36.58m) and hammer (32.73m) competitions;
Spring Classic (4/22): Recorded an eighth place finish in the shot put (12.23m) in addition to posting marks of 31.72 meters in the hammer and 34.55 meters in the discus;
UMass Pre-Conference Meet (4/29): Competed in the shot put (12.92m) and the discus (35.47m);
America East Championships (5/7): Recorded a distance of 12.66 meters in the shot put and a mark of 35.84 meters in the discus at the conference championships.
North Haven High School: Earned a total of eight varsity letters during his scholastic career, including a combined five in indoor and outdoor track & field to go along with two varsity letters in football and one in lacrosse … Was a center and outside linebacker on the football team while playing defense in lacrosse … As a senior was the outdoor track MVP and was a track & field team captain … Conference champion in the shot put as a junior and a senior … Won Class MM, Class L and State Open Indoor titles in the shot put.
Personal: Born 5/25/98 in New Haven, Conn. … One of three children of Daniel and Deborah O’Connor … Has an older brother, Ian, and a younger sister, Olivia … Enjoys hiking, traveling, taking pictures and being outdoors in his spare time … Graduated from the University of Vermont and pursued a Master’s in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Signal Processing and Communication at Villanova … Chose to continue his education at Villanova because it was nearby to his job at Lockheed Martin and because it offered him the chance to complete a thesis research project in biomedical signal processing and athletics … Noted that Villanova gave him the chance to complete his collegiate track & field eligibility while working full-time and being a full-time graduate student.
