On Kopecky: Faceoff specialist for the Wildcats who has played in 40 career games… Has gone 58-of-152 on faceoff chances and picked up 36 ground balls during his career … Has four collegiate goals, two coming in his senior season … Four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and seven-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2024: Appeared in all 16 games... Was 23-63 (.365) on faceoffs and picked up a career high 19 ground balls during the season... Scored two goals on the season, both coming in the BIG EAST Tournament... Recorded a career high seven caused turnovers... Tallied five ground balls and a goal in the BIG EAST Championship against Georgetown...Â
2023: Played in 10 games this season for the Wildcats… Was 18-45 (.400) on faceoffs and acquired 12 ground balls on the year… Went 10-19 on faceoffs and recorded a career high seven ground balls in the win over St. Johns… Scored a goal against Providence and tallied four shots on the year.

2022: Saw action in nine games on the season … Went 12-of-25 (.480) on faceoffs and was credited with three ground balls on the year … Scored a goal and had two shots to go along with season highs of seven faceoff wins (7-of-10, .700) and two ground balls against St. John’s.

2021: Played in five games on the season … Won five faceoffs in 19 chances and had two ground balls.

Montgomery High School: Earned a total of eight varsity letters during his scholastic career, including three each in lacrosse and football to go along with two in track & field … Two-time all-conference and honorable mention all-state selection in both lacrosse and football … Helped lead the lacrosse team to a Group 4 state championship his junior season and during that year led the state in faceoff wins for a second straight season … As a football player set school records for career and single-season receiving yards as well as the most receptions in a single season.

Personal: Born 6/21/02 … One of three children and the only son of Leonard and Mary … Has two sisters, Jessica and Avery … Chose to attend Villanova for the coaching staff and the school’s excellent academic and athletic reputations … Enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences.
