Villanova currently plans to begin the Fall 2020 semester in August. Courses will be offered using several modes of delivery including: in-person courses in socially distanced classrooms, simulcast courses, hybrid/flipped courses with a combination of in-person and online coursework, and courses offered completely online. Course modes will be identified as “100% In-Person”, “Simulcast Format”, “Distance Learning”, or “Hybrid Format” in the Master Schedule under “Attribute Type.” The University class schedule has been modified to allow for additional time between classes to facilitate cleaning and social distancing. Standard meeting times were also moved to provide longer passing periods between classes and to reschedule classes into spaces which accommodate University-approved social distancing protocols.

Yes. Students and instructors are required to wear masks in classrooms, labs and studios.

Accommodation requests based on a disability or health risk due to Covid-19 should be submitted to Nicole Subik, Director of the Office of Learning Support Services. Accommodation requests based on other reasons should be submitted to the student’s college.

International students should submit accommodation requests based on a disability or health risk due to Covid-19 and accommodation requests based on other reasons to Mr. Hubert WhanTong, Office of International Students.

Mr. WhanTong will forward information to Learning Support Services or the appropriate college contact for review and approval of academic accommodations.

Students who do not have an approved accommodation through the University may still take all courses 100% online depending on availability. Before changing courses, students should consult with their advisors to ensure the new course(s) fit into their curriculum.

Students may update their schedules prior to the start of classes and then also use the drop/add process through the first week of classes.
