2014: Registered 15 appearances for the season and had a team-high 14 starts … Also led the team with 74.0 innings pitched and 52 strikeouts while tying for the lead with four victories … Finished the year 4-7 overall with a 6.45 ERA … Allowed 98 hits and 57 runs (53 earned) while issuing 31 walks … Allowed three earned runs or less in 10 of his starts … Pitched into at least the seventh inning four times … Earned his first victory of the season against Saint Joseph’s … Allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings for a win over Northeastern … Had a season-high eight strikeouts and earned the win against Manhattan; BIG EAST: Started in all six conference series and was 1-3 with a 9.49 ERA … Logged 30 1/3 innings with 22 strikeouts and nine walks … Gave up 46 hits and 34 runs (32 earned) … Allowed just six hits and three runs over a season-high eight innings to earn the win against Creighton … Had eight strikeouts and allowed just two runs on three hits in 6 1/3 innings at Georgetown.

2013: Stepped into the weekend rotation and was the team’s most consistent starting pitcher … Led the pitching staff in wins, ERA and innings pitched while ranking second in strikeouts and games started … Went 5-7 with a 3.75 ERA and pitched 86 1/3 innings over 13 starts, including one complete game … Allowed 94 hits and opponents hit .283 against him … Walked 20 and struck out 56 while giving up 41 runs (36 earned) … Gave up just one home run to 375 batters faced … Allowed three earned runs or less in nine of his 13 starts and pitched at least seven innings on eight occasions … Posted a 1.32 ERA in 34.0 innings over his first five starts … Recorded a win in his season debut against La Salle, when he struck out seven and allowed two earned runs in six innings … Pitched seven innings without allowing an unearned run in a win over Iona … Struck out seven and allowed just a run on four hits in seven innings against Marist; BIG EAST: Started eight conference games and was 3-4 with a 5.33 ERA over 52 1/3 innings … Allowed 65 hits and 33 runs (31 earned), while walking 16 and striking out 32 … Pitched eight innings of a 10-6 win at Notre Dame as Villanova tallied its first-ever victory at Frank Eck Stadium … Yielded two earned runs and struck out six over 7 2/3 innings to pick up a win at Cincinnati … On the final day of the regular season gave up just five hits and one run in 8 1/3 innings to register an 11-1 win at Georgetown.

2012: Appeared in 13 games with one start and was 1-1 with a 5.31 ERA … Logged 20 1/3 innings and allowed 22 hits and 13 runs (12 earned) with 11 walks and 14 strikeouts … Opponents hit .278 and had just three extra-base hits (zero home runs) in 96 plate appearances … In his last four outings of the season combined to pitch 9 2/3 innings with just three hits allowed, five strikeouts and a 1.86 ERA … The stretch included his first collegiate start against Temple, in which he allowed just one hit and no earned runs over 6 2/3 innings to pick up his first career win … Did not allow a run in six of his 12 relief outings, including his first three appearances of the season … Tossed scoreless innings in each of his first two collegiate games, against Arkansas and Norfolk State; BIG EAST: Pitched in five games against conference opponents, all in relief … Allowed six hits and five earned runs in 6 2/3 innings, walking five and striking out three while holding opponents to a .250 average against him … Allowed one earned run in two innings against St. John’s in his BIG EAST debut … Pitched a scoreless inning of relief against Rutgers during the final weekend of the season.

Streamwood High School: Earned four varsity letters in baseball and three in basketball, where he was a power forward … Two-time all-conference baseball player as a junior and a senior … Also named a 2011 All-Area pick as a senior and was his school’s Senior Male Athlete of the Year … Named to the 2010 IHSBCA Summer Tournament All-State Team … Registered 21 career wins and is his school’s record holder with 274 strikeouts … Achieved High Honor Roll status academically all four years.
