Career: Played for the Wildcats from 2018-21 and was a three-time BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week … Two-time honoree on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and was a three-time selection to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll … Named to the Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Team as a senior in 2021 … At the time of her graduation in 2021 ranked 14th in school history with 90 pitching appearances, including ranking 10th in relief appearances (36) and 16th in games started (54) … Tied for 16th in school history with 22 complete games … Ranked 14th in wins (29) 17th in both innings pitched (345 2/3) and batters faced (1,608), and 19th in strikeouts (152) … Compiled a career record of 29-26 with a 4.05 ERA in 90 games pitched … Allowed 396 hits and 252 runs (200 earned) while walking 139 and striking 152 in 345 2/3 innings pitched … Owns one of the iconic moments in program history as she was the winning pitcher in the final game of the 2021 BIG EAST Championship … Struck out the final batter of the championship game with a swinging third strike and dropped her glove in front of the mound as the Wildcats celebrated their first-ever conference title and advanced to an NCAA regional for the first time in program history … As a batter recorded 166 career plate appearances and was a .170 hitter with five home runs and 22 walks … Hit four home runs and slashed .226/.351/.435 as a freshman in 2018 … Part of Villanova teams which went 108-76-2 (.586) during her career.

2021: Was the winning pitcher and threw five scoreless innings in the final game of the BIG EAST Championship as Villanova won its first-ever conference title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history … Compiled a 7-3 record with one save and a 3.93 ERA on the year while pitching in 24 games, including 11 starts, four complete games and one shutout … Logged 83 2/3 innings pitched while allowing 102 hits and 61 runs (47 earned) with 28 walks and 43 strikeouts … Allowed three home runs to 398 batters faced … Entered the final game of the BIG EAST Championship at Connecticut with the score tied 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning and worked the final five innings without allowing a run as the Wildcats went on to a 6-1 victory and their first BIG EAST crown … Gave up just two hits while walking three and striking out three in the biggest outing of her career … Made two appearances against Ole Miss in the NCAA Tournament … Gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits while working six innings in those two outings … Pitched a three-hit shutout with no walks and three strikeouts in the second game of a doubleheader against Providence on April 17, then earned the win in relief a day later when she tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to help Villanova complete a series sweep … Won her first start of the season against Hofstra when she pitched a complete game and yielded just two earned runs over seven innings in an 8-6 victory … Was at her best in big spots and held opposing batters to a .185 batting average against her with runners in scoring position and two outs (63 plate appearances in those situations) … Started two games at first base in addition to her pitching appearances … Reached base in three of her 16 plate appearances on the year, including an RBI single against Hofstra on March 13 … Tallied a .985 fielding percentage on the year with 18 putouts, 46 assists and just one error in 65 chances.

2020: Played in 18 games with nine starts as a pitcher, designated player and infielder … Made nine appearances on the mound, including five starts … Went 1-2 with one save over 18.0 innings pitched … Allowed 31 hits and 25 earned runs while walking 13 and striking out six … Pitched the final inning of the season opener against San Diego State to earn a save … Started and went a season-high 5 1/3 innings at San Diego, allowing four hits and two earned runs while walking two and striking out two … Earned the win with 3 1/3 innings pitched against Mount St. Mary’s … Had two hits, two runs scored, three walks and a stolen base offensively … Fielding stats included two putouts, nine assists and one error in 12 chances.

2019: Appeared in 22 games with 16 starts, including eight starts on the mound … Also started three times at third base and five times as the designated player … As a pitcher was 4-7 with one save and a 4.20 ERA in 19 appearances … Allowed 68 hits and 44 runs (33 earned) while walking 19 and striking out 20 … Pitched a one-hitter in an 8-0 win over Presbyterian … Retired 18 of the 19 batters she faced in that start, including the first eight batters and the final 10 in the six-inning contest … Struck out a season-high four batters and gave up just a two-out infield single in the third inning … Started and gave up two runs on three hits over four innings to pick up a win over Eastern Illinois … Was the winning pitcher in relief against Holy Cross and Saint Joseph’s … Recorded the final six outs of a 5-3 win over Detroit Mercy for a save … As a batter had six hits, drew eight walks and compiled a .333 on-base percentage in 42 plate appearances … Started at third base and hit her only home run of the season against Maryland … Singled, walked twice and scored two runs against Saint Peter’s later the same day … Had a 1.000 fielding percentage in 23 chances (two putouts, 21 assists, no errors).

2018: Was the Wildcats top pitcher as a freshman, making 30 starts on the mound and going 17-14 with 17 complete games, one shutout and a 3.52 ERA in 189.0 innings pitched … Recorded one save in eight relief appearances … Held opposing batters to a .260 average against her and had 83 strikeouts … Appeared in 43 games overall and started four games as the designated player … Batted .226 (14-for-62) with four home runs, 10 walks, a .351 on-base percentage and a .435 slugging percentage … Tied for second on the team in home runs … Named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week consecutive weeks on April 16 and April 23 … The first honor came after she tallied two wins, two complete games and a save in a three-game BIG EAST sweep of Providence … Went nine innings and had a career-high eight strikeouts in a 5-3 win in the series opener … Started the first game of a doubleheader and pitched a five-hitter in a 5-2 win … Recorded the final four outs with a strikeout to save a 3-2 win in the second game of the twin-bill … The following week tossed a pair of complete games, including a six-hit shutout in wins over Georgetown … Also worked 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the middle game of that series … In the two-week stretch when she earned the weekly BIG EAST honors was 7-1 with a 1.64 ERA, a .196 opponent batting average and five complete games spread over 47.0 innings pitched and nine total appearances … Villanova went 9-1 in the two-week stretch … Had a pair of complete game wins over Seton Hall later in the year … Hit her first collegiate home run and was 2-for-2 with a run and two RBI against McNeese State … Batted .400 (10-for-25) with four home runs and seven RBI in her first nine games as an offensive player … Homered against Kent State, UIW and Central Arkansas in that stretch.

Foothill High School: Earned four varsity letters in softball … Named the Century Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2015 … Four-time Century League first team All-League selection, earning the distinction each season from 2013-16 … Voted her team’s MVP in 2015 … Selected as the Chivalry Award Winner in 2016 … Winner of a Scholar-Athlete award each year from 2013-17 and achieved Principal’s Honor Roll status academically each of those same years.

Personal: Born 1/10/99 in Fountain Valley, Calif. … Older of two children of Julio and Lizett Amarillas … Has a younger brother, Nicholas … Enjoys swimming and playing tennis in her spare time, as well as painting her nails different colors each week … Chose to attend Villanova for the opportunity to go out of state and attend a school where she could experience the four seasons … Education major and Mathematics minor.
