The NCAA denied Villanova’s appeal of an Initial Eligibility Waiver on Nov. 13. The NCAA has deemed Hodge a partial qualifier, meaning he may practice with the team and receive aid but not appear in games.
St. Rose School: Played for former Wildcat Brian Lynch (1996-2000) … Averaged 17.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per outing as a senior while helping lead St. Rose to the New Jersey Class B Non-Public state title ..Contributed 14 points and nine rebounds to a 73-29 victory over Montclair Immaculata in the championship game at Jersey Mike’s Arena … Sparked his squad to a pair of wins at the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic in December 2023 … Helped lead St. Rose to its first Class B Non-Public School title in 19 years as a junior in 2022-23 … Averaged 14.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game.
Personal: Came to New Jersey in April 2022 from his native Belgium … Father Odell Hodge, who played collegiately at Old Dominion University, enjoyed a lengthy professional career in the National Basketball Association and Europe, eventually settling with his family in Belgium … Brother Jayden Hodge played alongside his older brother at St. Rose.
