Spencer Fowler is an assistant athletic trainer at Villanova, a position he's held since 2017.
His primary responsibilities lie in assisting with year-round preventative care, immediate care of injured student-athletes, as well as the treatment and rehabilitation of the Wildcat Football team. Additionally, Spencer will serve as athletic trainer for the men's golf team.
Spencer comes to Villanova from the Buffalo Bills, where he served as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer during the 2016-2017 NFL season. During his time in Buffalo, Spencer assisted with player physicals at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, while also assisting with prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation to the injured Bills players.
Prior to his time in Buffalo, Spencer spent two years with the University of Nebraska serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. While at Nebraska, Spencer earned his Masters of Arts degree in Education Administration, while also working full-time with the Husker football team. Spencer is a native of Olathe, Kansas, and earned his Bachelors in Athletic Training from the University of Kansas in 2014. While at Kansas, Spencer worked with the football, basketball and track teams while also interning with the Kansas City Chiefs during the summer of 2013.
In his free time, Spencer enjoys working out and doing anything outdoors with his dog Lexi.
