Biography

On Cook: Fierce competitor who has made tremendous strides since joining the team as a walk-on during the 2011 outdoor season ... Capable of helping the team during the cross country season as well as outdoors in the distance events ... Also a member of the Villanova swimming & diving squad who will begin her fourth season for the Wildcats in the fall of 2012.

2012 Cross Country: Earned All-Mid Atlantic Region and All-BIG EAST honors ... Solidified her spot in the middle of the Villanova lineup and finished second or third on the team in all six scored meets during the year ... Registered back-to-back 14th place finishes at the BIG EAST Championships (21:24.65) and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional (20:52) ... Her finish at the regional meet helped the Wildcats capture an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships ... Also established new personal bests for a 6,000 meter course in each of her final two meets of the season ... Crossed the finish line with a time of 20:51.7 at the NCAA Championships and placed 110th overall ... Came in second on the team and 29th overall at the Paul Short Run (21:02) ... Placed 41st at the Pre-NCAA Meet in 20:57.2, which marked the first time she ran a 6K race in under 21 minutes ... Opened the season with a fourth place finish at the three-mile Main Line Invitational, where her time was 16:49.30.

2012 Outdoor: Qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the 5000 meters as a result of running a time of 16:56.26 at the Colonial Relays, where she came in 13th out of 49 competitors ... Placed 22nd in the conference meet ... Opened the season with a ninth place finish in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:41.65 at the Big Five Invite.

2011 Cross Country: Earned a spot in the team's lineup at the NCAA Championships and the BIG EAST Championships ... Was the team's fifth runner at the national meet and came in 129th overall to help Villanova earn a spot on the awards podium with a third place team finish ... Her time of 21:15 over 6,000 meters at the NCAA Championships was a season best ... Came in sixth on the team at the BIG EAST Championships as Villanova won its fourth straight team title ... Placed sixth overall at the Main Line Invitational in her first collegiate cross country race, covering the three-mile course in 17:40.03 ... Was the seventh runner for Villanova at the Paul Short Run and placed 77th out of 396 runners in the Women's Gold race.

2011 Outdoor: Made her collegiate track debut at the season-opening Big Five Invite, where she came in third in the 1500 meters (4:35.64) and 13th in the 800 meters (2:19.90) ... Ran the 5000 meters at the 46th Colonial Relays and finished eighth with a time of 16:46.42.

Mountain Range High School: Received two varsity letters in swimming and one in cross country ... First team all-conference all four years as a swimmer ... Picked up a second place finish at the 2008 Spring Southern Sectional Meet in the 1500 meter freestyle ... In cross country was a first team all-conference honoree in 2006 ... Won three academic letters from her sophomore through senior years.

Personal: Born 7/25/91 in Denver ... Only child of Wendell and Debra Cook ... Majoring in Political Science.
