Veteran member of the Villanova sprint group who closed out the 2025 outdoor season by earning the first two All-BIG EAST honors of his career in the 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay ... Surged to a third place finish and a bronze medal in the hurdles with a personal best time of 53.85 in the final at the conference championships ... Ran the leadoff leg of the 4x400 relay later that day and the Wildcats finished third with a time of 3:09.25 ... It was the fastest 4x400 relay for Villanova in 14 years ... Registered personal bests in both the 400 meters (48.53) and the 400 meter hurdles during the 2025 outdoor campaign ... Competed in the 400 meter hurdles as a collegian for the first time during the 2024 outdoor campaign and earned his first career top-eight BIG EAST finish with a seventh place result in that event ... Has recorded personal best marks in the 200 meters (22.41), the 400 meters and the 400 meter hurdles during his collegiate career ... Two-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and four-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
 

Xavier High School: Earned three varsity letters each in indoor and outdoor track & field ... Competed in the 200 meters and the 400 meters individually as well as in several sprint relays ... Part of a 4x400 meter relay squad which set a school record at the Penn Relays with a time of 3:22.98 ... As a senior ran in the 4x400 relay and the sprint medley relay at the indoor New Balance Nationals ... Also competed in the 4x100 meter relay, the 4x400 relay, the sprint medley and the distance medley relays at the outdoor New Balance Nationals ... During his senior season he anchored the 4x400 relay squad to an indoor intersectional championship with a split of 49.24 on the anchor leg ... Also anchored the relay team to a second place finish at the NYS Federation Championship with a split of 49.89 ... Named his team's indoor MVP (Block-X Award) as a senior and was the Hellen Weldon 1600 Meter Relay Award winner ... As a junior was the team's Most Improved Varsity Athlete indoors and as a sophomore was the Most Improved in Jumps award winner indoors ... Personal: Born 11/17/04 in New Hyde Park, N.Y. ... One of three children of Salvatore and Margaret Barretta ... Has two siblings, Cristina (23) and Marco (13) ... Hobbies include spending time with family and friends, skiing and fishing ... Chose to attend Villanova because it has one of the best engineering programs in the country and because he admired the school's strong sense of community ... Mechanical Engineering major.
