Career: Ended her career as one of the most accomplished players in Villanova history … Set the new Villanova records for games played (247), games started (242) and at bats (767) … Ranked top five at the time of her graduation in hits (tie-3rd), runs scored and total bases (both fourth) with top 10 marks in runs batted in, walks, doubles and home runs … Had a strong glove at third base and owned a career .960 fielding percentage with 270 putouts, 381 assists and 27 errors … Earned the 2023 Female Senior Student-Athlete of the Year, the highest honor Villanova Athletics bestows upon its student-athletes … Four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and seven-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2024: Played in 55 games with 41 starts at third base and 11 in the designated player spot … Racked up 36 hits with 22 runs, eight doubles and 24 walks … Contributed her 13th career three-hit day against Elon on Feb. 24 … Drove home three runs the next weekend versus Georgia Southern … Walked three times against Providence to tie her career high … Produced three straight two-hit games in the NCAA Tournament, scoring a combined five runs … Recorded five assists from third base three times on the year.
2023: Started in all 59 games for the Wildcats, 57 of them at third base and two at second … Had a .267/.344/.440 slash line with 51 hits on the year … Recorded nine doubles, three triples and six home runs in her senior year … Crossed the plate 42 times, good for second on the team in 2023, and brought home 31 runs … Drew 18 walks and was hit by five pitches … Stole 11 bases and was caught just once … Totaled 11 two-hit games on the year with a pair of three-hit performances … Matched a career-high with three hits against Miami (OH), adding two RBI and a run scored … Hit a grand slam against California in her home state, paving the way for Villanova's first ever Pac-12 victory … Crossed the plate four times on March 12 against Georgetown while racking up four runs batted in … Put forth a career-high two triples against Drexel with two runs and two RBI … Registered a season-high three hits against Lehigh on April 19 with three runs, two RBI and a home run … Provided an insurance run with a solo shot in the BIG EAST Championship elimination game against DePaul.

2022: Earned second team All-BIG EAST honors and was named to the BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team while helping Villanova win its second straight conference title … Played in all 56 games and started 55 times during the year … Had a .326/.396/.494 slash line and led the team in both batting average and hits (58) … Ranked second on the squad with 29 runs scored and 13 doubles … Had one triple, five home runs and was tied for second in the lineup with 31 runs batted in … Drew 16 walks, was hit by a pitch six times and struck out only 20 times in 202 plate appearances … Her 18 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games were each team highs … During the BIG EAST regular season started all 23 games and batted .378 with nine doubles, all five of her home runs and a .671 slugging percentage … In those 23 games also played near-perfect defense at third base with a .983 fielding percentage and just one error in 60 total chances (18 putouts, 41 assists) … Committed just one error in her final 30 games of the season … Had one hit and two RBI during the BIG EAST Championship … Went 2-for-7 with a walk and a run scored in two games at the Orlando Regional in the NCAA Tournament … In the season opener against Marshall was hit by a pitch twice, singled, stole a base and had two RBI along with a run scored … Did not hit her first home run until the 34
th game of the year at DePaul, then hit four home runs in a span of eight games … In the DePaul game she was 2-for-5 with the home run and a season-high four RBI … Had a season-high three hits in wins over East Carolina, St. John’s and Georgetown … In the 28
th game of the year at Princeton she was moved to the leadoff spot in the batting order for the first time in her collegiate career … She went on to bat leadoff in each of the next 24 consecutive games and batted .376 while posting a .448 on-base percentage and a .659 slugging percentage in that span … More importantly, after the Wildcats were 10-17 to start the season they went 18-6 over the next two dozen games with Smith in the leadoff spot.

2021: Named a first team NFCA Mideast All-Region selection in a season which saw her finish second in the BIG EAST in hits (58), trailing only All-American teammate Paige Rauch … Played in 50 games with 49 starts and batted .356/.393/.509 … Went 58-for-163 at the plate and was one of three batters on the team to hit over .350 for the year … Ranked third on the team with 32 runs scored and 34 runs batted in … Hit five doubles, one triple and six home runs … Stole two bases without being caught … Drew eight walks, was hit by a pitch twice and struck out 34 times … Tallied 18 multi-hit games and a team-high 12 multi-RBI games … Her 14-game hitting streak from March 27-April 17 was the team’s longest of the season and tied for the ninth-longest hitting streak in school history … Batted a torrid .479 (23-for-48) during the streak with three home runs, 11 runs scored and 15 runs batted in … Tied a season-high with three-hit games against both Saint Joseph’s (3-for-4, run, two RBI, stolen base) and Drexel (3-for-3) during the streak … Also collected three-hit games against Hofstra (3-for-3, two runs, RBI, walk) and St. John’s (3-for-4, three runs, three RBI, double) during the year … In the deciding seventh game of the BIG EAST Championship drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI single in the fourth inning to snap a 1-1 tie … Extended the lead to 3-1 with a run-scoring double two innings later … Had two hits, including a double, and a run scored earlier that day as Villanova forced a final game against Connecticut by staving off elimination for a third consecutive game with a 5-1 win … Went 5-for-17 (.294) with two doubles, two runs and two RBI in the BIG EAST Championship, with four of her five hits coming on the final day of the tournament … Handled 27 chances in the field during the conference championship with nine putouts, 17 assists and just one error … In the deciding game handled nine chances at the hot corner with two putouts and a career-high seven assists … Started all 17 regular season BIG EAST games and hit .290/.313/.403 in 64 plate appearances … Did not commit an error in the field during conference play, recording 24 putouts and 29 assists in 53 chances … For the season had a .975 fielding percentage with 76 putouts, 78 assists and four errors while starting 44 games at third base and five at first base … Had a .954 fielding percentage over her first 20 games played and a .989 fielding percentage with just one error in 93 chances over her final 30 games … During that stretch handled 65 consecutive chances (26 putouts, 39 assists) without committing an error in a span of 24 games.

2020: Made an immediate impact at the collegiate level and emerged as one of the Wildcats top offensive performers as a freshman … One of six players on the team to start all 27 games of the season … Batted .365 (31-for-85) with a .413 on-base percentage and a .624 slugging percentage … Ranked third in the BIG EAST in total bases (53), fifth in hits and eighth in slugging percentage … Finished second on the team in batting average and slugging while ranking third in runs scored, runs batted in and home runs … Had five doubles, one triple and five homers while scoring 17 runs and driving in 15 … Drew five walks, struck out 12 times and stole two bases without getting caught … Had six multi-hit games and tied for the team lead with five multi-RBI games … Reached base safely in each of the season’s first 10 games and each of the season’s last 12 contests … Her streak of 12 games in a row reaching base was the team’s longest of the year, as was her eight-game hitting streak to open the campaign … Batted .423 over those first eight games of the year … Had three three-hit games, which came in victories over Jacksonville, Penn State and Mount St. Mary’s … Went 3-for-3 with a run, two RBI and a steal in the Jacksonville win … Also had three hits, including a solo home run, in the Penn State game … Batted .500 (8-for-16) with a home run and two steals in the opening weekend of the season … Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and her only triple of the year in a win over Mount St. Mary’s on March 7 … Handled 72 fielding chances at third base with 26 putouts, 44 assists and two errors (.972 fielding percentage).

Club Softball: Played for the California Breeze Warren club team since she was 11 years old … Team placed as high as third at the PGF Nationals and was consistently a top-20 finisher … Led the team in batting average, hits, home runs and runs batted in during both the 2017 and 2018 seasons … Batted .459 with 56 hits, 15 doubles, 11 hone runs, and 58 RBI in 50 games played in 2018.

St. Francis High School: Earned four varsity letters in softball while playing every infield position and in the outfield … Three-time All-Delta League honoree, including being a first team selection as a sophomore and a junior after being a second team pick as a freshman … Named her team’s MVP and was an All-City selection as a junior … Batted .448 with 10 home runs, 74 runs batted in and 100 hits through her first three scholastic seasons, including .543 with 12 doubles, three triples and four home runs as a junior … Represented softball on the St. Francis High School Student-Athlete Advisory Committee … Achieved Honor Roll status academically every year.

Personal: Born 1/17/01 in Sacramento, Calif. … Older of two daughters of Sean and Kristin Smith … Has a younger sister, Sydney … Has volunteered her time to help the homeless … Enjoys reading and watching crime drama stories in her spare time, as well as taking care of animals at home and on her grandparents’ farm … Chose to attend Villanova because she was hoping to attend a school with an elite academic reputation and was attracted to the opportunity to play for a competitive softball program … Noted the beauty of the campus and the school’s atmosphere as other deciding factors.
