2018-19: In his final year as a Wildcat, Garvey swam in 14 events, primarily in the freestyle and butterfly. He clocked his season best in the 100-fly with a time of 52.88 and in the 200-fly with a time of 1:57.22 both at the BIG EAST Championships. He also swam in the 500-freestyle at the championships and posted another season best with his time of 4:49.18.


2017-18: Garvey competed in 10 events during his junior year. He primarily swam in the butterfly and freestyle events. He recorded a season top time in the 200-butterfly with a time of 1:56.62 at the BIG EAST Championships. Garvey also broke his individual record in the 500-free at the championships. He recorded a new time of 4:48.72. 

2016-17: Primarily competed in the freestyle, butterfly and IM events during the season...Swam in three events at the BIG EAST Championships…Finished with a time of 4:49.72 in the 500-yard freestyle at the meet, which was more than 11 seconds better than his previous season-best time…Had a time of 53.38 in the 100-yard butterfly...Competed in the 200-yard butterfly and touched the wall at 1:55.86 in the prelims of the meet, which was the third-fastest time on the team this season.

2015-16: Competed in 10 events primarily the 100 and 200 butterfly...Had his top time of 52.18 in the 100 fly vs. the United States Merchant Marine Academy on January 7, 2016....Competed at the 2016 BIG EAST Championships in East Meadow, N.Y. where he collected his best time in the 200 fly at 1:58.49. 

Plymouth-Whitemarsh: Earned four varsity letters in swimming…Also played golf…All-league four times…Personal best high school time of 53.84 in the 100 butterfly…AP Scholar…Distinguished Honor Roll…Rotary Club Student Achievement Award.

Personal: Born February 8, 1997in Lafayette Hill, Pa...Son of Paul and Fran…Hastwo older sisters Elizabeth and Kathryn...Has an older brother Alfred…His mom, Fran, played field hockey at the University of Pennsylvania…His sister Elizabeth swam at Fairfield University, and his brother Alfred dives at the United States Naval Academy…A civil engineering major…In the Naval ROTC program at Villanova…Wants to become a Naval officer...He’s an Eagle Scout and enjoys backpacking…Chose to attend Villanova because he loved it.
