Spencer McIntosh

Spencer McIntosh, MS, ATC, LAT, serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Villanova University, a position he has held since July 2023. In this role, he provides healthcare services and support for the Wildcats' Cross Country/Track and Field programs. In addition to his team responsibilities, McIntosh serves as the chiropractic liaison for Villanova Sports Medicine.

Prior to joining Villanova, McIntosh completed an athletic training internship with the Minnesota Vikings during the summer of 2022. He also volunteered at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, where he provided care and support to a recent Villanova alumnus competing at the event.

McIntosh earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Sports Medicine from West Chester University in 2021 and went on to earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training from West Chester in 2023. His professional interests include the management of overuse injuries, sprint progression during rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and athletic recovery. In 2025, he earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential.

A native of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, McIntosh continues to reside in his hometown. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys weightlifting, gardening, plant collecting, and collecting vinyl records.
