Biography
2023: Started and played in all 17 games as a captain.. finished the season with 27 ground balls, 14 caused turnovers, and three draw controls.. Her 14 caused turnovers placed her third on the team in caused turnovers.. Had three caused turnovers against Bucknell. Led the team in ground balls.. Had three ground balls against Marquette.Â
2022:Â Vital part of the Villanova defense, starting all 16 games during her third year at Villanova. Totaled 13 caused turnovers on the season, with 18 ground balls and two draw controls. Her 13 caused turnovers were the second most for Villanova for the 2021-22 season. Earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in a 12-7 win over George Washington on February 23, when she caused a career high four turnovers and had three ground balls. Also scooped up three ground balls against Lafayette (3/16) and Denver (4/23). Had three caused turnovers against Temple (2/16).
2021: Started in all 17 games for the Wildcats. Recorded a season high five ground balls against UCONN (4/16) along with two caused turnovers. In the second game against UCONN, Dunphey recorded her season high of three draw controls. Finished the season with thefourth most cuasd turnovers (11) for Villanova.Â
2020:Â Dunphey did not see the field during her freshman year.Â
Ridgewood High School: Dunphey was a four time varsity lacrosse letter winner, and three time varsity soccer and basketball letter winner. In lacrosse she earned All-League Honorable Mention and Most Improved Defender honors. Dunphey also Represented her high school at the NJ Interscholastic Athletic Association Leadership Summit. Through her junior season she was second all-time in career interceptions (32), top five all-time in forced turnovers (72), top five all-time in single season interceptions (13/11). Her team was also ranked top 20 nationally all three seasons.
Personal: Dunphey is the daughter of Paul and Megan and has two siblings, John and Emme. In her free time she enjoys surfing and dance. She chose Villanova because it had everything she wanted in a college and the Villanova community has a family feeling.
