Career: Has raced in 13 events for the varsity four, second and third varsity eight lineups … Named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete twice … Was named to both the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll five times and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times.

2022-23: Appeared in two races, both with the 2V8 … Finished fifth with the JV8 at the Doc Hosea regatta, crossing in 7:07.35 … Part of the 2V8 that won the Petite Final at the Knecht Cup in 7:06.16.

2021-22: Competed in six races … Rowed bow for the Second Varsity Eight at the CAA Championships for a sixth-place 7:06.73 showing … Stroke for the Third Varsity Eight that landed second at the Mason Invitational at 7:32.7 … Also rowed stroke for the for Varsity Four in a second-place finish against UConn with a 8:21.06 time and later posted a winning time of 8:14.76 against Eastern Michigan … Part of the V4 that was sixth in the Grand Finals of the Knecht Cup at 8:26.35 … Stroke for the 3V8 that was second in the dual with La Salle and Drexel at 8:22.8.

2020-21: Competed at all five of the team’s competitions during the spring season and rowed in both the second varsity eight and varsity four lineups … Made her collegiate debut in the season opener against Delaware where the second varsity eight squad tallied a first place finish with a time of 7:15.8 and beat the Blue Hens by a 5.4-second margin … Also rowed in the 2-seat of the 2V8 boat at the Kerr Cup where the Wildcats came in second in their heat with a time of 6:49.4 … Moved to the varsity four boat and rowed in the bow seat at each of the final three competitions of the season … Helped the Wildcats finish second in the grand final at George Mason where the squad posted a time of 7:47.8 to finish ahead of Saint Joseph’s and Duquesne … Earlier in that competition Villanova came in second in its heat in 7:42.2 … The varsity four boat came in fourth at both the Kelly Cup (7:59.2) and the CAA Championship (7:55.59).

Club Sports: Played club softball for Trevians Girls Softball Association from 2014-18 … Was a first baseman and outfielder for a team that finished fourth in the Illinois state championships in 2016 and 2017, as well as finishing second at the USSSA National Championships in 2016.

Loyola Academy: Three-year member of the varsity rowing team … Stroked for the Varsity 4+ squad her sophomore year and was a member of the Varsity 8+ team as both a junior (6-seat) and a senior (2-seat) … Helped her team place second in the Midwest Scholastic Championships in the Women’s Varsity 8+ category her junior year … High school teammate of current Villanova teammate Alexandra Petrozzi … Inducted to the National Honor Society (2019) and was a Dumbach Scholar (2017-20) … Winner of the MSRA Academic Athlete Award (2019) and the Loyola Academy Rowing Coach’s Award (2020).

Personal: Born 3/9/02 in Chicago, Ill. … Oldest of four children of Daniel and Kathleen Colgan … Has three younger siblings: Brendan, Patrick and Nora … Enjoys learning about art, visiting museums, spinning, hiking and listening to music in her spare time … Hopes to one day have a career in the art history field, particularly in the area of curation … Chose to attend Villanova for its incredible balance between academics and athletics … Felt welcomed and supported by everyone she met when coming to campus … Noted that the sense of community resonated with her and thought it would be a part of her academic and athletic endeavors … Plans to major in Art History.
