Career: Got her first taste of collegiate competition during the shortened 2019-20 campaign when she was the coxswain for the novice eight boat in her lone competition of the year … During her first two collegiate seasons is a four-time selection to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and a four-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
 
2020-21: Did not compete at any official events during the abbreviated spring season.
 
2019-20: Directed the novice eight boat as the coxswain at the Head of the Schuylkill, where Villanova had a strong effort against experienced competition in the College Frosh/Novice Eights division.
 
Archbishop Wood High School: Competed on the field hockey and lacrosse teams … Earned All-Catholic honors in both sports … Graduated third in her class and was named a National Merit Scholar.
 
Personal: Born 1/24/01 in North Wales, Pa. … One of three children of Erik and Linda Nguyen … Has an older sister, Erin (22), who attended at Villanova and a younger brother, Brendan (18) … Enjoys reading and attending concerts with her sister in her spare time … Chose to attend Villanova because it’s close to home and runs in the family … Also noted that she felt it was the best school for her to optimize her full potential as a lifelong learner … Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and has yet to declare a major … Plans to pursue a Pre-Law track.
