Career: Has competed in four regattas during her first three collegiate seasons and was a part of a first place CAA finish in the third varsity eight boat as a sophomore … Four-time member of both the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
 
2021-22: Did not compete in any official events.
 
2020-21: Part of the third varsity eight team which posted a first place finish at the CAA Championship … Villanova won the race in 7:07.31 to post a three-second margin of victory over runner-up Delaware and pre-race favorite Northeastern … The win helped the Wildcats finish third overall at the conference championship and match the 2017 team for its best CAA finish since joining the league … Competed three times overall in the 3V8 boat (4-seat) during the season … In the season opener against Delaware helped the Wildcats finish with a time of 7:45.6 … Also competed at the Kerr Cup where the 3V8 team finished first in 7:04.2 and edged Drexel by one-tenth of a second in an exciting finish at the line.
 
2019-20: Competed in the novice four lineup (2-seat) and the novice eight boat (6-seat) at the Head of the Schuylkill … Villanova came in fifth out of 23 teams in the College Frosh/Novice Fours and came in 20^th while facing experienced competition in the College Frosh/Novice Eights.
 
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy: Earned four varsity letters in track & field as well as one in volleyball during her scholastic career … Was named her school’s Freshman Class Athlete of the Year in 2016 … Also the track & field Freshman Athlete of the Year and went on to be the varsity track & field MVP as a sophomore when she set school records in both the long jump and the triple jump … Inducted to the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta … Honored by the California Scholarship Federation.
 
Personal: Born 5/25/01 in Newport Beach, Calif. … One of three children of Daniel and Mary Carney … Has an older brother, Scott (22) and a younger sister, Erin (16) … Both parents rowed in college, father at Texas and mother at Santa Clara … Enjoys traveling, service, environmental sciences and kickboxing among her hobbies … Chose to attend Villanova because it felt like home when she first stepped on campus … Noted that it met the factors she was looking for in terms of athletics, size, academic and faith … Business major.
