Beth Lazarus

Beth Lazarus serves as a Sports Performance Coach at Villanova University, a position she has held since 2023. In this role, she oversees sports performance programming for Women's Soccer, Softball, and Rowing, helping student-athletes maximize performance while supporting their long-term health and development.

Prior to joining Villanova, Lazarus worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Harvard University from 2017 to 2021, where she contributed to the training and development of multiple varsity athletic programs. She subsequently served as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University from 2021 to 2023, directing performance training for the softball and field hockey programs while leading the department's strength and conditioning internship education program.

During her time at Harvard, Lazarus was a member of the coaching staff for the Women's Rugby team that captured the 2019 NIRA 15s National Championship. In recognition of her contributions to the profession and emerging leadership, she received the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Lance Vermeil Award in 2024. Beth became an Approved Mentor through the CSCCa in 2026.

Lazarus earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Boston University in 2016 and a Master of Education in Applied Human Development & Coaching from Boston University in 2023. She holds certifications through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and USA Weightlifting (USAW).

Her coaching philosophy centers on enhancing athletic performance, reducing injury risk, and fostering meaningful relationships that empower student-athletes to train with confidence in a supportive and safe environment.

A native of Brookline, Massachusetts, Lazarus currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her wife.
