2024-25: Selected as one of the senior class' Sister Mary Margaret Cribben Award for "unselfishly sacrificing to lead and motivate their teammates" … Earned her first career mention on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list … Won in No. 6 singles against Marquette … Defeated her opponent in No. 5 singles versus Southeast Missouri State … Earned the team's lone singles win versus Drexel.
 
2021-22: Posted records of 5-5 in singles competition and 1-8 in doubles matches as a freshman … Made her collegiate debut in Spring 2022 after not playing during three Fall tournaments … Her first collegiate competition came in a dual match against Lipscomb on March 1 … Tallied the first two wins of her collegiate career versus Drexel on March 20 … She scored a win in straight sets at No. 5 singles and teamed with Sabina Grigorian for a win at No. 2 doubles which clinched the doubles point for the Wildcats in a 5-2 team victory … All nine of her doubles matches were with Grigorian as her partner for the year … She won singles matches at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 spots in the lineup … Stepped up to No. 3 singles for the only time during the year against Loyola (Md.) and was a straight-sets (6-0, 6-4) winner … Her three wins at No. 4 singles (3-3 overall record) came against Seton Hall, Saint Joseph’s and Connecticut … The victory over Seton Hall was a come-from-behind effort as she rallied past her opponent for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory.
 
Ukrainian National Championships: Advanced to the semifinals of the National Ukrainian Championships in the U18 singles tournament … In doubles competition was both a finalist and a winner of the U18 championship at the national tournament.
 
Personal: Born 10/28/03 in Dnipro, Ukraine … Older of two daughters of Igor and Olena Kornyeva … Has a younger sister Alina who will join the Wildcats for the 2025-26 season … Comes from an athletic family with both her parents and her sister competing in different sports … Mother was a gymnast for the sport club Steel for 15 years and father played basketball for the sport club Alexandria for 10 years … Sister is a professional tennis player who has competed for the club Megaron since 2015 … Enjoys reading books, traveling, modern dancing and cooking in her spare time … Became interested in attending Villanova when researching the school and taking note of the University’s strong academic reputation, the school’s extensive history and the quality of the faculty along with the range of offerings on campus … Chose to enroll for the chance to be a part of a family environment on campus and to take an active part in the life of the university … Felt that the knowledge and experience she would gain from Villanova would make her a top specialist in her chosen field of study.
