CAREER COLLEGIATE RESULTS
Competed for Villanova from 2019-23 in cross country and the distance track events ... Won an individual BIG EAST title in the 1500 meters outdoors in 2021 and led off the conference champion distance medley relay in 2022 ... Was a 10-time All-BIG EAST performer overall during her collegiate career ... At the time of her graduation was one of only two athletes in school history -- along with teammate Lydia Olivere -- to break 10 minutes in the 3000 meter steeplechase ... She and Olivere each held ownership of the school record during their Wildcats careers, and Helwigh's PR of 9:58.13 stood as the fifth-fastest time in school history as of the end of the 2023 outdoor season ... Three-time qualifier for the NCAA East Preliminary meet in the steeplechase and finished as high as 27th in the national quarterfinal round of the event in both 2022 and 2023 ... During her career she competed individually at the BIG EAST Championships in the mile indoors as well as the 1500 meters and the steeplechase outdoors ... Recorded personal best times in the 1000 meters, the 1500 meters, the mile, the 3000 meters and the steeplechase over the course of her collegiate career ... Was part of the Villanova lineup for the NCAA Championships in cross country in 2019 and 2021 ... Came to the Wildcats as an experienced international competitor ... Represented her native Denmark in the U20 race at the World Cross Country Championships (2019), the IAAF World U20 Championships (2018), the IAAF World U18 Championships (2017) and the European U18 Athletics Championships (2016) ... Three-time selection to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in track & field while at Villanova ... Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team four times and earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all eight of her semesters on campus.

Has represented Denmark on the world stage in several international competitions … Competed in the U20 race at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in her home country in March 2019 … Ran the 3000 meter steeplechase and the 1500 meters at the IAAF World U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland in July 2018 … Gold medalist in the 2000 meter steeplechase (6:34.52) at the European U18 Athletics Championships in 2016 and came in fourth in the same event (6:47.69) at the IAAF World U18 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya in July 2017 … Silver medalist in the 1500 meters at the Nordic Junior Athletics Championships in Sweden in August 2017.
