Biography

On Snyder: Competed for the Wildcats for one year (2014-15) and was part of the team's deep pole vault group.

2015 Outdoor: Competed at the Danny Curran Invitational and tied for fourth place in the pole vault with a height of 3.52 meters.

2014-15 Indoor: Competed in the pole vault four times during the season ... Her top mark was a personal best height of 3.75 meters at the Metro Team Challenge, where she was the runner-up ... Cleared the bar at 3.60 meters at both the Gotham Cup (sixth place finish) and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (tied for 13th place) ... Finished fifth with a height of 3.50 meters at the McElligott Invitational.

Colonie High School: Earned six varsity letters outdoors and five letters indoors as a member of the track & field team ... Also was a five-year member of the Hudson Valley Flying Circus ... Four-time all-state athlete based on a top-six finish at the state championships ... Runner-up at the indoor state championship in 2012 and was selected as an Emerging-Elite All-American for the 2012 outdoor season ... Three-time Albany Times Union first team All-Star (2012-14) ... Achieved High Honor Roll status academically all four years ... Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 1/27/96 in Albany, N.Y. ... Younger of two children of Thomas Snyder and Mary Walsh Snyder ... Has an older brother, Matthew (21), who pitches at Kentucky ... Chose to attend Villanova for the combination of the academic and athletic opportunities it offered and the chance to continue both her education and athletic career at a high level ... Plans to major in Chemical Engineering.
