CAREER COLLEGIATE RESULTS
Competed for Villanova in the middle distance events from 2020-24 and specialized in the 800 meters and the relays ... Four-time BIG EAST champion and 12-time All-BIG EAST performer during her collegiate career ... Won individual BIG EAST gold medals in the 800 meters indoors in 2023 and outdoors in 2024 ... At the 2024 conference meet she memorably went from fourth place to first in the final 50 meters and broke the championship meet record with a winning time of 2:04.18 ... Part of BIG EAST titles in the 4x400 meter relay at the 2021 and 2024 outdoor meets ... Overall was a 15-time BIG EAST scorer during her career ... Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary in the 800 meters four straight years outdoors and advanced to the national quarterfinal round three times while placing as high as 14th in the quarterfinals ... As of the end of the 2024 outdoor season ranks fourth in school history in the 600 meters (1:31.95), tied for fifth in the 500 meters (1:12.60) and 10th in the 800 meters (2:03.68), with the latter mark also putting her third on Villanova's all-time indoor performance list ... Established personal best times at every distance from 200 meters through 1500 meters while wearing the Villanova singlet ... Three-time selection to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team … Four-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and earned a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll nine times.

Lincoln High School: Two-sport athlete who excelled in track & field and volleyball … Earned four varsity letters in each sport … Seven-time state track champion … Named the Central Ohio Track Athlete of the Year as a senior … Graduated as the school record holder individually in the 800 meters and as part of 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams … Volleyball team was a two-time district champion during her years on the team … Set single-season and career school records for serve reception and digs … Garnered All-Ohio academic honors in track & field … Achieved honor roll status academically all four years … Class valedictorian.

Personal: Born 12/28/00 in San Antonio, Texas … Older of two children of Randy and Jodie Martinez … Has a younger brother, Ryan (19) … Both parents were collegiate athletes: mother played volleyball and father played golf … Hobbies include painting and art … Chose to attend Villanova for the beauty of its campus, the size of the school and the individualized plan presented by the coaching staff ... Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and has yet to declare a major.
