2024: Played in 24 games to a record of 16-6… Saved 137 of 333 shots faced, allowing 196 goals… Ranks second in program history in goalie wins with 36… Allowed a season low four goals in a win over Mercyhurst on February 3 recording seven saves… Won MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of January 31st after going 4-0 at the Villanova Invitational making 26 saves during the tournament including 15 against Mercyhurst on January 27… Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team… Selected to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice.
2023: Played in 18 games with just over 382 minutes of action … Went 4-7 on the year, saving 107 of the 250 shots faced, allowing 143 goals … Had three points on three assists, adding eight steals … Allowed a season-low three goals in the March 18 win over VMI with two periods of action and again the April 15 loss Wagner where she played in the second quarter … Made a season-high 11 saves in March 26 win over VMI and the April 1 sudden death loss to Iona, playing in all seven periods … Moved into the top five on the program’s career goalie minutes played with 1326:22 while also sitting at fourth for both goalie wins (20) and save percentage (.410).
2022: Started in 29 of 30 appearances on the year … Went 12-12 with a .378 save percentage and a 12.47 goals against average … Competed in 752 minutes with 178 saves and 293 goals allowed … Accounted for eight assists and 23 steals … Allowed a season-low three goals in the February 13 in the 14-3 win over Mount St. Mary’s … Registered at least 10 saves in four contests, including a season-high 15 saves in a 20-8 win over Mercyhurst on February 27 … Picked up a season-high three steals on February 12 against Harvard.
2021: Started the first six games of the season in goal before sustaining an injury … Was off to a terrific start to the year and had a 4-2 record while averaging nearly 10 saves per game … Played 192 minutes and tallied 59 saves with 60 goals allowed … Compiled a .496 save percentage and a 10.00 goals-against average … Had one assist and four steals on the year ... Registered nine saves and two steals in a 13-12 win over Saint Francis in the season opener on March 6 … Got the win in her collegiate debut and helped the Wildcats win their season opener for the first time in 14 years … Recorded 10+ saves in three of her six games, including a season-high 12 stops to go along with an assist in a win over Mount St. Mary’s … Named the MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on March 15 after the second weekend of the season … She tallied 27 saves and three steals in three games the previous week, including back-to-back wins over Mount St. Mary’s and Gannon … Had eight saves sand a steal in the 12-10 victory over Gannon.
Club Water Polo: Played for the Viper Pigeon 18U team from 2018-20 … Also played for ODP in 2019 and was a two-year Junior Olympics participant.

St. Agnes Academy: Earned four varsity letters in water polo and one in swimming … Three-year water polo team captain … Named a second team all-state and first team all-region selection as a junior … Holds her school’s career blocks record with 782 … Was a high school teammate of Villanova swimmer Anastasia Kontrimas … Earned Academic All-America honors her junior year … Inducted to the National Honor Society … Achieved Dean’s List status academically as a junior and a senior, and made the High Honors list as a freshman.

Personal: Born 2/22/02 in Houston, Texas … Younger of two daughters of John and Suzanne Shelby … Has an older sister, Victoria (21) … Has a relative, Herman Shelby, who played college football at Houston and was a center on the 1960-62 teams … Chose to attend Villanova because she felt at home upon visiting the campus and meeting her future water polo teammates … Also noted that the opportunity to continue her water polo career was an added bonus on top of Villanova’s educational component … Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and has yet to declare a major.
