2022: Made a big impact in net during debut season … Made six starts in 18 games played … Went 8-3 on the year … Saved at a.568 clip, making 147 saves with a 9.43 goals against average … Played 380 minutes with 112 goals allowed … Had nine steals while also tallying seven assists … Picked up their first collegiate win in the 19-14 victory over VMI on March 19 after entering into the game to start the second half with just four goals allowed and eight saves … Recorded the game-winning goal as time expired for a 19-18 overtime win over Iona on March 20 … Made a season-high 15 saves against La Salle on April 15 … Allowed as few as two goals in two different occasions against Whittier and St. Francis (NY) … Had a two-point outing against Siena on March 27, dishing out a pair of assists.
Club Water Polo: Played for NorCal Aquatics from 2019-2021, Pacific Valley Premier from 2018-2019 and Santa Clara Water Polo from 2017-2018 … Won USA Water Polo Academic All-American Outstanding Honors from 2019-2021 … Played for the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics Gold Division Champion team in 2021.
Presentation High School: Earned varsity letters in water polo and softball … Tabbed the Water Polo MVP in 2017 before being awarded the team’s Most Inspirational Player in 2021 … Played for a Presentation team that was the 2019 CIF-CCS Champions … Named the Platinum Project Award Recipient in 2021.
Personal: Born 8/14/03 in Palo Alto, California … One of two children of Steve and Jennifer Shaw … Has a brother, Ryan (20) … Outside of the pool, they enjoyed participating with the L’Arche Tahoma Hope Community and cooking … Chose Villanova because of the school’s academic reputation, emphasis on volunteering and competitive athletic program … Pursuing a degree in psychology.
