Matt Makoid is an Account Representative in the Ticket Sales and Service department, joining Villanova Athletics in June 2026. In his role, he is responsible for generating ticket revenue through season, group and premium ticket sales while cultivating relationships with fans, alumni, corporate partners and the local community to enhance engagement with Villanova Athletics.
He comes to Villanova after serving as a Sales and Service Consultant with Playfly Aspire at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he led group sales initiatives across six varsity sports, managed relationships with local organizations and university partners and increased group sales by 17 percent year over year.
Prior to VCU, Makoid was a Development Graduate Assistant with the University of Louisville Athletic Department and the Cardinal Athletic Fund. He previously worked as a Development Operations Intern with the Temple University Owl Club, and also spent four seasons as a student manager with the Temple men's basketball program.
A native of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, Makoid received his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management, with a concentration in Governance and Policy and a minor in Business Studies, from Temple University. He earned his Master of Business Administration and a Certificate in Managerial Analytics from the University of Louisville.
