Patrick Smith, DPT, SCS, OCS, serves as a Physical Therapist at Villanova University, a position he has held since 2025. In this role, he supports the health, rehabilitation, and performance needs of Villanova student-athletes. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Smith serves as Program Coordinator and primary mentor for the NovaCare Philadelphia Sports Physical Therapy Residency and is a faculty member within the Select Medical Continuing Education Department. Through these roles, he is actively involved in the development and mentorship of the next generation of sports physical therapists.
Prior to joining the Villanova Sports Medicine team, Smith served as a Physical Therapist for Temple University olympic sports from 2020 to 2025.
Smith earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo in 2015. He subsequently completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Saint Francis University in 2016 and a Manual Therapy Fellowship through Regis University in 2018. He holds board certifications as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) and Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Smith resides in Havertown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Meghan, and their three children, Nora, Everett, and Callum.
