Ryan Lazev joined Villanova in August of 2026 as a Strategic Communications Intern. He serves as the primary contact for men's and women's swimming and diving, women's lacrosse, and golf, as well as the secondary contact for men's and women's cross country and track and field.
Prior to the Main Line, Lazev spend a year at Lehigh University as the Sports Communications Graduate Assistant. He served as the primary contact for cross country, track and field, and swimming and diving. He also spent time as the interm women's lacrosse contact, helped run social media for women's basketball, and assisted with basketball and football gamedays. On top of that position, he completed his Master’s in Management at Lehigh as a graduate student.
The Glen Rock, N.J. native completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware. He graduated in 2024 with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a media concentration, and a minor in Psychology. During his time as a Blue Hen, Lazev was involved in the sports media space, serving as a color commentator for Delaware’s basketball and football games for the school’s student radio station, 91.3 WVUD. He was also a frequent guest on the station’s sports radio show, Blue Hen Sports Cage, as well as University of Delaware’s top sports broadcast network, Hens Sports Night. He was also a member of Delaware’s club Cross Country and Track & Field team, where he first as the team’s webmaster, then ultimately as its President.
