Karlie Kisha

Karlie Kisha rejoins the Villanova Wildcats as a full-time assistant coach after serving as a volunteer assistant for two seasons to focus on her field hockey career with the U.S. National Team. Previously, Kisha coached three seasons (2018-20) of Wildcats field hockey as a full-time assistant coach to Joanie Milhous.

Kisha arrived at Villanova in 2018 after a four-year standout career at the University of Connecticut.  There she was a part of two national championship teams and four final four teams. During her senior season she was named a NFHCA Division I All-American and to the NCAA Division I Championship All-Tournament Team. Kisha is currently a member of the United States National Development Team and previously was a part of the United States National U21 and U19 Team.

In 2019, Kisha was named to the U.S. Women's National Team traveling roster for the U.S. Women's National Development Squad tour of The Netherlands. She continued on the Olympic Development Pathway through 2020.

Kisha was ultimately named to the U.S. Women's National Team in 2021 and played in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she represented the United States on field hockey’s biggest stage.

Kisha graduated in May of 2018 from UConn with a degree in Chemistry.  She was a four-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and NFHCA Division I National Academic Team.

“I am thrilled to have Karlie back as an assistant coach. Her experience playing for our U.S. Team and just playing in the Olympics is invaluable for our players,” said head coach Joanie Milhous. “We are fortunate to benefit from her extensive knowledge and expertise.”
