Bison Run Past Wildcats, 11-7

Bucknell's John Golaszewski netted four goals to lead the Bison to an 11-7 victory over Villanova. The loss ended the Wildcat's three-game winning streak and gave the Bucknell their third win of the season.

The Bison (3-3) jumped out to a 6-2 halftime lead as Golaszweski and Micheal Kennedy each tallied two goals apiece. Bucknell extended its lead early in the third on Golaszewski's third score of the game. The Wildcats retaliated withback-to-back goals by Eric Dauer and Andrew Bogle. However, the Bison answered with three goals of their own, giving Bucknell a 10-4 lead after three quarters of play.

Not giving up, Villanova attacked with three straight goals in the fourth from Dauer, Christopher Larson and Scott Gegerson, cutting the Bison lead to 10-7. But with time running out, Bucknell added one final goal to defeat the Wildcats 11-7.

Villanova (4-3) was lead by Eric Dauer who recorded his second straight three-goal performance, while John McTigue and Tom Lasky each tallied two assists. In goal, sophomore Matt Wilk has 13 saves in the loss. The

Wildcatswill play host to Sacred Heart on Saturday, April 3. The men's game will be preceeded by the women's lacrosse team taking on Notre Dame at noon.
