SPARKS, Md. - USA Lacrosse has invited over 40 of the nation's top men's lacrosse players to a training camp for the field team in the U.S. Men's National Team Program, including Villanova alum Matt Campbell ('23). The camp is set for June 7-9 in Charlotte, N.C., following the Premier Lacrosse League's weekend slate in the city.
This marks the second training camp under head coach Seth Tierney, as the team prepares for the Pan-American Lacrosse Championship in Kingston, Jamaica from Aug. 17-23. The event serves as a continental qualifier for next summer's world championship in Japan.
Campbell, Villanova's all-time leading scorer, was selected ninth overall by the Boston Cannons in the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft. He earned First Team All-Pro and All-American honors in 2025.
